How many tests have you taken so far??

Published

We started school on August 18 and have already had 2 tests in Assessment and are having our third test this Thursday (9/25) in Fundamentals. On Oct 7, we have a check-off day where we will draw different skills out of a hat and perform them in front of an instructor. The next day we will have clinical orientation. It just seems like we are moving so fast!! Is anyone else's program moving this fast??

Hey! We started Aug 15! We have had 4 quizzes & 3 tests in fundamentals! 4th test on thursday! We are having our 3rd skills checkoff on tues! It's been pretty fast & crazy!

Ours is the same way! I had no idea it would be so fast paced! Due to hurricane Ike we will have missed 7 days so far and will be missing at least three more next week. I can only imagine how crazy it will be when we get back!

I started August 18th and I have had 3 tests, 1 each in Pharm., Assess., and Fund., and well as a quiz in Fundamentals. I've had 5 skill validations (check-offs) so far with BP, Pulse, Respirations, and temp being this week. That will leave me with only 2 validations, NG tubes and foley catheters and then we will be on to clinicals!!

We also missed a full week of school due to our school serving as an evacuee shelter for Hurricane Gustav. (sp)

We started class August 19th and have had:

1 test in PN I plus two quizzes (test 2 in a week)

1 test in Fundamentals (test 2 next week)

2 tests in Metrology

2 skills test outs in lab.

We don't seem to be move as fast as some of you . . . or we just have more material to cover per test. I think it would be easier to have more frequent tests so there is less material covered on each test!

Our first test covered 14 chapters, it's definitely not been so bad since then but we still covered 6-7 chapters on the second and this third test coming up. It's crazy!!

Well our first level wasn't too bad, we'd have about 1 - 2 tests every other week or so. But second level was a beast! At least 2 - 3 tests each week, and on some occasions FOUR a week. It was beyond stressful trying to divide my study time, along with trying to type out clinical paper work....but what can you do? It'll be more of the same when we go back after break.

I feel like I'm a slacker. lol We have our dosage calc test on Friday (not the nursing version), then our first fundamentals test and first skills test on Monday. Nothing like doing it all at once!! :yeah:BUT we didn't start classes until the Wednesday after Labor Day.

I am in my last year. Unfortunately, you newbies, the fast madness never stops.

We started August 25, and we've had 2 tests in mental health, 1 test in med surg III, 1 med calculation test that we need 100% on, 2 formal essays, and we have an IV test this upcoming Thursday. We have a group assignment each week during our 7 week orthopedic seminar. And next week we have 3 tests--both in psych and med surg and also an exam for ortho.

Plus I was stupid and never finished my english composition II requirements, so I'm taking that class right now too. 5 short essays and a quiz on Thursday (same day as IV test).

And I am working every weekend.

If I keep up this pace, I may die of nursing school stress before I reach the end.

We started classes on August 18th. So far we've had 3 exams, 3 observation papers due, and a careplan, h & p, patho paper due. Mine was over 10 pages and some of my classmates' were longer than that.

In addition, the first three weeks of class we did a management portion and had assignments we had to turn in online along with a discussion board we had to participate in. While we get satisfactory or unsatisfactory for our papers, etc. the only thing that we get points for are our exams.

Oh, I forgot that we started clinical the about a week after we started class and we have continue until the beginning of December.

Nursing school---fun is had by all!!!

It just seems like we are moving so fast!!

We've had one quiz in Health Assessment, one quiz in Nursing Trends & Issues and the first exam of the semester is coming up tomorrow for Principles & Applications of Nursing Interventions. Fortunately, our faculty works together to coordinate their curriculum and avoid exam/major assignment overlap.
