How many students?

Published

I was wondering how many students you are responsible for and what grades your school is? Also, is there a Certified School Nurse and a Health Assistant in your office or are you flying solo?

Thanks!

I float, but the HS has 2LPN and 1RN for 2000+, 2 MS's have 1LPN and 1 RN with 800+ and the other 8 ES have 1 RN except for one that has 800 kids which has 2 RN's. Only RN's can have their own school which stinks b/c the 3 LPN's we have, have at least 60yrs experience combined.

About 100 kids (hence the name) K-6 and I fly solo.

Specializes in Pediatrics, school nursing.

I have 800 students in 5th and 6th grade. I am full-time at my school, and have a half-time aide. I am an RN, but my state does not recognize school nurse certification.

Specializes in Peds, School Nurse, clinical instructor.

550 kids, high school, just me, no other medical help in the building.

~650 kiddos on 3 campuses in my district (3 campuses = 3 different cities; the other 2 campuses are about an hour from my "home" campus), grades 3rd-10th, I am part time, and I fly solo. Also, I'm an RN but my state doesn't require us to be certified.

Specializes in School Nursing.

I am full time LVN for MS=184 kids

HS= 427 kids

We have an RN that does screenings, IEP, and 504's and she tries* to come in 1 a week if possible. But she is on a contract that only allows so many days/hours.

Health Aide only person at elementry school K-6th

Specializes in CVICU, SchoolRN, MICU, PCU/IMU, ED.

I have grades K-6 with 650 students. I'm the only nurse at my school.

My district is still down three nurses.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Home Health, Hospice, School.

I'm in a 6-8 junior high school with approx. 1100 students. I am the only nurse.

940 at high school solo

Middle School, about 750 kids - just me. We have a nurse leader in the city, and I am fortunate to have a buddy nurse who works at a different school across the street. We have floating health assistants who can pitch in for screenings or other busy times.

I am the only medical personnel for a PK-5 school with about 500 students.
