I had 265 yesterday and feel really good about the last set of questions (especially #265). I'm SCARED, though. Anybody know what the chances of passing are at 265??? Thanks!

I took my test for the second time on the 28th. The first time I got 265, as well as this time. I was soooo waiting for it to shut off at 75 like most everyone else. I don't know my results yet. I tried to focus more...I got really tired and careless the first go around. I feel this time I got wayyyy more prioritizing, higher level questions and my last 4 or 5 questions were higher level. I don't know if that means anything...but I do feel more confident this time around. I just hope I passed this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

megster, good luck to you! i am getting ready to take my test for the second time as well. first time, i did the whole 265 and failed. but i am studying content and practicing questions, so i only have to take this 1 more time! i heard of more people passing at 265 than failing at that #. let us know when you passed!;)

i took mine a few weeks ago and got all 265 questions..i got really careless and tired answering the rest of the questions..i failed...i am now getting ready to take the next one..just waiting for my ATT...and this time i know what im gonna do...read each question TO HEART..as if the next question would be the last..im gonna take my time..take the breaks to relax..and pray if i get stuck on something...

The first time I took the test I failed at 265....my third attempt, I had all 265 again....and Passed!! So yeah, you just don't know......

I took boards in february(2 mos. ago) in California. I had 265 questions and passed....but didn't really review much. I took Kaplan and it helped with getting in the right mindset of how to test. I had alot of priority questions, and several multiple multiples.

I also wanted to say i think it is really vogue for everyone who passes to say "i only got 75 questions." I'm calling bs and i think alot of people are doing it to make themselves seem smarter than others.

Wow, I never thought saying " I passed at 75 questions" was considered "vogue" or as bragging. Passing with 75 or 265 questions (or any number in between) = RN. Period.

I passed at 75 questions. What difference does it make? Im still an RN just like people who pass with 265 or any other number.

I just got my retake results back. The first time I had 265...second time 265 and still failed :( Everything said "near passing". I am sooooooooooo upset and EMBARASSED that I have to take it for the THIRD time!!!! :angryfire I don't want to have to be the one to take it 20 times! I am not stupid, why is this so hard for me? :o I'm really disappointed.....I really want this, I've worked hard.

I took my nclex 3/28/07, which happened to be my second time taking it. Both times I ended with 265 question. I'm from CA and we don't have quick results, so I've been pretty anxious the last several days. But, I've been checking every single day on the boards of registered CA to see if my name would appear......... and 5 minutes ago, and 72 hours later, I just found out I PASSED!!!!!! with 265 questions on my 2nd time. So, yes there is hope. Hang in there. I'm living proof that it is possible to pass with 265 question. Also, Iwanted to add that I was doing suzanne's study giude the 2nd time around, which helped me pass along with lots of praying. Take care.

Don't be disppointed ! The NCLEX is basically the last torture in the entire nursing education before you're allowed to practice. It is not designed to tell if you are a good nurse nor designed to see how competent you are at work. It is designed to see if you can read their mind (those who set unreal questions). There are some questions that you will never answer right, such as those ask for drugs that we have never heard of. So, you ask, what's the point? Exactly ! When I studied and took the test, I tuned my thoughts to the NCLEX way and used the rationales I read from the study materials. When I'm at work, I have to use a complete different mind set to get things done. You will soon find out that a lot of smart nurses are not textbook bound. You can pass NCLEX !
