(i am planning on taking it in middle of july..already send my papers in) ...it depends on you i guess... 4.how did you study for your nlcex ? practice a lot of questions and focus on the rationales
  2. Saunder's Comprehensive Review NCLEX RN 3rd edition with companion CD Saunder's Q&A CD Prioritization, Delegation, & Assignment by LaCharity, Kumagai, & Bartz
  3. I PASSED!!!!!!! i found out today thru quick results...YES...im so happy.... :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: thanks for this board..for everyone...especially to GOD, HE really worked his wonders this time...i prayed a lot and it did work...thank you soooooo much dear GOD!!!!
  4. i thought mine was easy...well coz it was the second time around for me and it stopped at 78....i dunno if its coz i was really prepared for it this time...coz i graduated in december..took a review class then n studied, then took it on March, but failed so i started studying again..so its kinda like i never stopped studying ever since i started around January..so when i re-took the exam i went thru 78 questions in about 2 hours...maybe i got so used answering questions coz i practiced more than 1000 questions during my review...
  5. congrats :balloons:
  6. i took the NCLEX for the second time and it stopped at 78...the first time i took it it stopped at 265...but this time i feel really good about it..i got some prioritization questions, a disaster question, one select all that apply, a few meds that i dont really know but tried to recognize it...i feel really good about it this time because of all my studying and praying... ill find out tomorrow my results..
  7. GOOD LUCK to you tomorrow...just relax and take deep breaths..remember to take every question in that test to heart...take some deep breaths too if u find something difficult...pray! it always helps...GOOD LUCK AGAIN...you can do it..believe!
  8. I finished reading and answering all the questions in the KAPLAN NCLEX book..that book is good..the questions are similar to nclex in a way..they're kinda hard too.. (its my 2nd time to take the test..i have a week left of studying) ...I finished the Saunders 3rd edition book...thats good for content..u have to have knowledge base before goin in the test anyways..Im also working on the Prioritization book that I have and Im also almost done with it...right now I am going over the Saunders Comprehensive CD...its pretty good too..and I also borrowed the Saunders Q&A CD from a friend...hahaha..i know i have a lot of resources...but ive done all of these in a period of about 2 months..coz i took the test last march and didnt make it..and ive been studying since... so i should be good ...hehehe
  9. i agree...right now im supposed to be studying..thats why it takes me a while to get through a section in my review book coz i stop once in a while..when i dont feel like it or i feel bored..ill stop for a while coz nothings gonna stick if i try and force it... i'm gonna take my test for the 2nd time pretty soon...im almost done with my saunders book..going over some of the cd and the prioritization book..i think i have too many books and i dont know if im gonna have time to go through it all with the pace of my studying... :) but i do pray almost everyday asking for the same thing..to give me strength, courage and confidence for this test.
  10. ive heard about this and i was actually just checking out the website..it looks good, but still thinking if i should take it..coz i kinda have an organized plan now..doing Saunders 3rd edition (u gotta have the basics and content down first to understand some things), mosbys, i read the Kaplan book at Borders..hehehe...I have the Prioritization and Delegation book, a Q&A Saunders, but an old edition, and a Strategy for Alternate Questions book..i think im good for now..hehehehe;)
  11. i think i failed because i wasnt ready enough. i got so tensed while taking the test and i really think that i blanked out on the very first question. as i went through taking the test all i could think of was finishing it right away and i think i didnt really pay attention to the questions. also, another factor, i wasnt prepared physically. i got this bad headache the night before cant really sleep and did not eat that much. also i think coz i was with someone, a friend of mine, we went there together, and we have to leave together coz we took one car..she was next to me in the test center and i heard her leave early..2 hours earlier than me..so i got kinda worried coz shes waiting for me... so i just rushed everything..and got a lil overconfident that i cant get a lot of the questions wrong now coz i got up to 265!!!
  12. i read the Kaplan review book at Borders..i actually finished reading the chapters..Im not gonna buy it coz it costs $35 and i already have a few review books here with me...Its good..im doing the practice questions there..and its kinda hard..it will really make u think..i did about 96 questions from the book for about 4 1/2 hours...im just gonna go back to borders and finish the rest of it..
  13. INTRAUTERINE DEVICES (IUD) - complications P - Period late; abnormal spotting or bleeding A - Abdominal pain; pain with coitus I - Infection exposure, abnormal lady partsl discharge N - Not feeling well, fever or chills S - String missing, shorter or longer taken from: Maternity Nursing 6th edition by Lowdermilk and Perry
  14. i just bought the book and currently reading it in between my nclex reviewing..hehehe..i think it was kinda meant to be for me to have the book..i didnt really know where to look for it at borders..so i went straight to the Self-help section but its not there..so i looked into their computer and its in the Metaphysical section..so i went there..and its not there..there was a guy reading just by that section and the book was on the floor next to his chair..i thought he was gonna buy it..i was kinda shy to ask him if he was reading it..but i still asked him anyways..and he said it was already there when he sat in that chair..so i took the book...it was the only copy left!!! imagine that!! its really good so far!!
