  1. 1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75, and i passed finally! 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? i took kaplan review after i failed the first time. so i studied from, kaplan, saunders comprehensive review book, mosby's and lippincott questions. 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? i had to take eri at my school every semester, but the big one was our last semester at school. 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? took 48 hours exactly.. took the test on friday and got the results sunday morning. 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? first time i was really certain i failed..i minute i stepped out of the test. the second time i was more confident, but it was just as hard as the first time. i was just more prepared the second time around. 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? no; second.
  2. Awesome!!! congrats RN!!!! Way to go
  3. thank you all so much for the wonderful wishes. i really appreciate it. and i am so freaking excited that i passed. i am starting work tommorrow in a post partum unit. hope it goes well!
  4. Thanks! Amie.... for all your words of encouragement! I am glad there were people like me out there struggling with this NCLEX monster, and at the end they defeated it and won! Thanks again...and now it's time to go get drunk. hehe :beercuphe :biere:
  5. hey kpeace......i just got my test results this sunday morning and i passed! with the grace of god! so yes you do get quick results on the weekends!! so good luck!! may the good lord shower his blessings upon you and all waiting the dreaded nclex!
  6. oh my god!!!!!! after waiting for what seemed like an eternity "the longest two days of my life." i checked the quick results this sunday morning. i didnt' even go to church with all this waiting. but the verdict is in.............. :balloons: i passed!!!!!!! :balloons: i am a freaking rn!!!! no more rntobe2007....it's going to change to rn2007 i am finally able to breath..after 3 long months of studying and crying about the previous failure. i just want to say thank you to the god almighty for guiding me through this impossible journey! and of course to all the wonderful people who kept me in their prayers and gave me words of encouragement and wisdom. i sincerely appreciate every single one of you........... :thankya::thankya::thankya:thank you!!! :thankya::thankya::thankya:
  7. well you guy's. nclex is over for now! wow what a draining test. i went into that testing center shaking and nauseated from the mere thought of the test. and from the time i started the test till it ended i prayed! i swear..there were so many priority questions and drugs, and of course the dreaded choose all apply. i had like 7 of them. i never get those stupid things right. but of course no math questions....the one thing i know for sure is the math. and i had none. well after the 74th question, i prayed and ask the lord to give me the courage and the strength to go on if it goes past 75 questions. after all i had all 265 last time, and that was so overwhelming. but to my shock and dismay it stopped at 75. i have no clue what that means. i have hard of lot's of people passing with that..as well as failing with that. so after being gloomy all day...i have decided i really can't do anything about it. all i can do is pray and hope that god has sympathy on me and helps me succeed this time around. i will have a breakdown if i dont pass, but hopefully that wont happen. i just can't stop checking the stupid bon tx and quick results, even though i know it wont be posted till 48 hrs. oh! i did have a question for you guys...the 15 "trial questions" on the nclex...are they the first 15 questions or are they scattered through out the test? well thank you all for praying for me......i hope god heard our prayers. i will keep you guys posted.
  8. i can't belive it....my test is tommorrow!!!!! i am so freaking scared and nervous. but i have to think positive..because last time i had such a negative attitude about it..and it showed. just focus!!! well i just wanted to say thank you again to all who are so kind with their words of encouragement. i truely appreciate every single post!
  9. Thank you so much for your encouragement Amie...as well as everyone else who's wished me luck. I truely appreciate all you'll good wishes and prayers.
  10. well i took the kaplan review class 2 weeks ago, so i have basically gone through the book, and done all my q-bank and q-trainer questions and other review exams here and there. basically trying to learn and understand the question i got wrong on the practice test's and reviewing them. the first time i took the q-trainers i was getting scores in the 55-65%. then i redid them and started getting 65-80 % i really hope that will help. oh! i wanted to ask you..since you took the test in feb like me and retook it recently...do you think the test was any harder from the last time you took it. i mean was the level of difficulty harder this time. i ask because i thought my last exam was so hard, i cried in the middle of the test... i am sure that didn't help..but it was really difficult. i knew when i walked out of that test..i have failed. i just pray to god that this time..i dont get anxious and not lose hope if i end up getting all 265.
  11. Thank you so much Amiejayrn!!! I truely appreciate your encouragement. And knowing you were in the same situation as me, gives me hope!!!:yeahthat: I am going to think positive and not lose hope if I end up with another 265. Thank again!
  12. Hi Everyone...I am fairly new to this forum..but have been browsing through it for a couple of months. And I would just like to say thank you too all who contribute all the valuable tips and info about NCLEX and there experiences with the test. I do also respect those who pray for others...because belive me we all need a little prayer in our lives. I took my boards once before in Feb 07..and had 265 questions and failed! I was supposedly close to passing..but apparently not close enough. So, I have it scheduled to take it over again in 3 days. On friday, :oMay 11th! I have been studying a lot..as well as practicing questions. As well as praying..and hopefully the combinations of all that will help me succeed this time around. So wish me lot's of luck....and please say a prayer for me on friday, May 11th 07 at 8:00 am, when I take the dreaded test. Hope fully with the grace of god..I will PASS! THANK YOU guys!:thankya::thankya::thankya:
  13. oh my god jme2007 ...you passed!!! congratulations buddy!! you give me hope. i am taking mine on friday may 11th. please say a prayer for me..if you dont mind. i would truely appreciate it!! congrats!!! again rn!
  14. Jme2007said: coachlvr, I am truly sorry about your results. I know exactly how you feel. You are on the "verge" of passing. My first test was in Feb. 07' and I failed with 265 questions and "near passing" on all results. I guess I kind of knew that I was near passing or else my computer would of shut off earlier..... I just took my test for the second time yesterday and another 265 questions. I graduated in Dec. as well, and majority of my class has taken and passed. I just want to get on with my original plans to work as RN! Did you have a lot of meds on your test that you NEVER heard of? I did. Did you get the Kaplan Meds in a Box to help study? Well, dont give up and you will have RN after your name! You can't win the game, if you dont play! Jme2007...I have a question for you. I am in the same boat as you. I graduated in dec 06 and took my NCLEX in feb 07. And got 265 questions with "near passing". Now I am planning to take the test in a week or so. My question for you is. Did the test seem harder this time to you. The reason I ask is because from April onwards..NCLEX is raising the passing rate and also the level of difficulty. I am freaking out..and was just wondering if the test seemed any different to you from the time you took it in feb 07 till now? I would really like your input. thank! P.s.s OH by the way I hope and pray that your pass this time. Good luck
