265 NCLEX Questions, Did I pass?
I felt the same way you did. My friends and I took it the same day, they all walked out of the center after about 150, and I was the only one left. Of course the comp shut off at 265. I was devasted. I was nerve wrecked until 3 days later my name popped up on the website. Dont lose hope! This was my second attempt at the NCLEX, my first try I got 220. Just study ( i suggest kaplan.. they're the best!) and you'll do fine.

Should I postpone or just take test NCLEX-RN
My goodness! You're more than ready to take the NCLEX. Suggested score for Kaplan is 65, but I was averaging 55% and passed. Most of my classmates were scroing 55-60's and passed. If you're doing above the 60's percentage, you'll do fine. Just practice a little till the week of your exam. The day before you exam.. DO NOT DO ANYTHING related to nclex, just relax. Trust me, no one ever feels "ready" for the NCLEX, don't postpone it. Just go for it. You'll do fine!

Question for those who did NOT pass the first time
It's not the amount of questions, It's the amount of time you use for each question and rationale. My first try, I tried to the max amount of questions per day about 700, since instructors in school said it was the thing to do. But they were wrong. My instructor in Kaplan suggested that you go over each question, absorb it, analyze it even it was only 25-50 questions a day. Then when it comes to the rationale, review it slowly and absorb it as if you're doing the question once again. READ ALL rationales, even the wrong ones, make notes. You need to absorb as much as you can, not just click away at the numbers. I tried this the second time around, and I passed!

Select all that apply q's
no partial credit, sorry. but if u got those questions, u were on the right track. select all that apply are high level questions. So if you got numerous ones, you were doing good... I made hashmarks on my wipeboard when i took my NCLEX. I got 17 all that apply out of all my 265 questions. -- and I passed! Good luck to you!

Med q's you have never heard of..
read the question... identify symptoms, or the patient's situation. then eliminate all drugs or choices that are medically similar. the oddball always wins! i used this kaplan strategy when i took my NCLEX, I had alot of meds I had no idea what to think of it... but using the strategies paid off. Yes, I passed, after all 265 questions! lol.

Kaplan and the magic 65%...Is it necessary to test?
Scoring 55-60's on Kaplan is really good. If you're scoring in the 60's you'll do fine. I was scoring 55's up until 2 days before my test. I passed! You're well prepared. Just remember not to do any testing or anything related to the exam before the day. Just relax. Your state of mind can change everything!

NCLEX questions vs. study questions
Kaplan Question Trainers are the best. I passed the NCLEX last wednesday, and i owe it all to those questions. Question trainers 5, 6, 7 are pretty much feel like the real NCLEX. Score around 60-70% on question trainers 6 and 7 and i say u're prtty ready to take the test. DO NOT study mosby. It's good for content, but test wise, it's not very challenging--- too easy! Kaplan (the $500 review course or you can buy the CD) and SAUNDERS are your best bet.

got all 265 Questions, awaiting results.
Honestly donschlec... it wasn't easier. It was pretty much the same thing over again.........some I think even harder. ONe thing new though... You must learn your herbs! I got 6 of those questions... At first I thought it was weird, but i guess those are high level questions. Know drug iteractions with garlic, echinachea, ginko giloba! I studied those this time around just cuz my Kaplan instructor sadi those pop up if u're doing above passing.. and they did!... Good luck! I know you will make it too! 2nd time around isn't so bad!

Just finished NCLEX-RN #2....
I took my test the second time around on 6/27, and I just found out today 6/29 that I passed! I got the total amount of questions 265, with only 11 minutes to spare left on the clock. The first time I took the exam I had 220 questions in only 3 hours... 2nd time around--I took my time this time using strategies from Kaplan review class and practice questions from Saunders. I truly believe all this helped me. Don't lose hope... your hard work will pay off! My prayers to you!

Good luck! The wait is always rough, but have hope. Sounds like u did good. And don't worry, everyone feels like they didn't do well after. Anyone who says the test was "easy" or felt refreshed after the NCLEX must be from another planet. LOL. Anyways good luck to you... oh and BTW. I took my exam on 6/27 wednesday, I seriously felt like I failed. If u read my previous posts, I felt so bad after the exam, I became nautious and threw up on my way to the parking lot after the exam. It was rough! BUTTTT..two days later 6/29 AND 25 mintues ago, I just typed my name in the CA BON website, and guess what!! I passed!!! with all 265 questions!!! good luck to you and to all those taking and awaiting results.. you all will make it!
