How many men in your cohort?

Published

We had Nursing orientation today and I had my first opportunity to meet my fellow students. It turns out there are only 3 men including me in our class of 45. How many men are in your cohort?

I am one of two males in our class of roughly 40.

Specializes in Emergency Department.

In my current cohort of 43, there are 8 guys. In my clinical group, the mix is 3 guys out of 11. It appears that the gender mix is about the same on the floors I've been on over the past few semesters.

Specializes in Hematology/Oncology.

last semester it was like 8/90

It was 5 out of 40 so 12.5%

8 of 32. I was the youngest student, being 22 when I began.

2 out of 60 and I'm one of them, 54 yrs old and I graduate in December 2013

That sounds amazing. 20 is tiring

6 out of 21. My instructors said it was most male students they've ever had.

Specializes in Anesthesia, ICU, PCU.

I was one of 6 out of 69 in my class (8.6%)

TU RN

Specializes in ER/Trauma.

When I started my traditional 4 year BSN program, there were three men, including me, out of 50 or so total. One dropped by second year, one dropped before senior year.

7 out of 107 hah a little out numbered
