I'm a flexi nurse-meaning I give my job a schedule of what I want to work and they will either give it to me or cancel me the morning of if they don't need me.(prn) I usually work every other Fri, Sat, Sun, Tue 12 hr shifts. (I'm off the weekend of school) I've been at this nursing home going on three years, and I float all over.
I work a full time job from home for an insurance company. So, I work part time for a LTC facilty. I work 3-11 every other weekend and a day during the week, for a total of 16 hrs per week.
Works for me :) nice to have that extra $$ every week. Its also nice to know that I don't need the job so it makes it less stressful knowing I can walk if I want. But honestly, I love the job and have seen no reason to walk and find something else.
I am assigned in operating room unit,my working hours would be 8 hours a day during usual days but sometimes i exceed to 4 hours or another 8 hours if my reliever is absent. I had 2 days off,its either on a weekend or weekdays its up to me,its ok also if i would request to have consecutive 2 days off...in a week i worked 40 hours....what a stressful job!!!
I'm PRN. Only been an RN since Sept 07. I work on average of 24hrs a week. Some times I get in 36hrs, some-times I have a week off. I work 12's & 8's. Nights & days. I can pick up nurse or aide shifts alike (still get my RN pay). Very rarely will I work a holiday or week-end ( only to help my co-workers out for a emergent special request off.)

Hi all I thought it might be interesting to see how much we all work...
Pretty simple, just state which unit you work in, how many years you've been there and the average amount of hours you put in each week.
