  1. I was recently accepted to 2 CRNA programs and wanted to ask how well did your school prepare you to provide anesthesia care upon graudation?
  2. Best of luck to you! I didn't get in :-( hopefully one of the other schools I applied to will take me!
  3. Hey I applied to UMaryland's program for next year as well! Keep me posted if you hear anything! I haven't heard anything about an interview yet... hope that's not bad news...
  4. I applied to FIU and they invited me for an interview next month. They have 4 days of interviews lasting all day long. I'm not sure what to expect. Other than that I haven't heard anything else from them.
  5. So I have hypothyroidism... I'll be starting on synthroid. It's so strange, I really thought it was just the opposite shifts... I think I'm still contemplating going to days I don't know now though. Thanks for all of your imput and support veryone!
  6. I have been thinking about what you decided... my director did give me the option. And since you say you don't miss the differential I suppose I could learn to live without it by getting my life back. Thanks Joanna!
  7. I work nights but day shift is usually staffed the same, 30 tele beds get 5 nurses and 2 CNAs sometimes 3 during the day. Sometimes day shift gets an additional free charge nurse.
  8. I think I've even convinced myself its psychological! So if you don't mind me asking... did you ever find out the cause for you?
  9. Just curious if this is "normal"... I have been working 7p-7a for about a year, for the last 6 months I have picked up an extra OT shift during the day. So I usually work 3 night shifts per week and one day shift per week. Over the last 4-6 weeks I have been sleeping way more than normal. I'm so tired I don't feel like working out or even getting up to eat. Usually in between shifts if I have days/nights off I will sleep for 17 hours!! I have a appointment with the doctor next week just to check but I was curious, anyone sympathize or have a similar situation?
  10. So much has happened since then I don't exactly remember all I can tell you is I had to have my fingerprints done twice because the police officer in training didn't do them properly and they were unreadable... sorry I can't be of any more help. Good luck!
  11. Has anyone checked the requirements for the laptops... I don't have nearly enough of anything on my current one. I don't know much about computers but the nursing school says processor speed needs to be 2.8Ghz/800 I went on dell's website and the fastest one they make is 2.55Ghz/1000. And that's the part that makes the computer really expensive... if its a difference of a half a second of speed then I'm ok with it but I don't want to buy a laptop that doesn't have enough of what the school says it needs... does anyone know??
  12. Letter was supposed to be leather in the email LOL. That's all I know, I got all nike's white leather "athletic" type.
  13. I've never heard of this I never thought to search the topic on here. I wonder what it tastes like....
  14. A friend sent this article to me, does this really happen? Has anyone heard of this?? What are your thoughts?? Mother Eats Placenta http://www.momlogic.com/2009/04/i_ate_the_placenta.php
  15. I had to go to Quest 4 times before I was able to get the test done!! It's impossible to get there if you work durning the day. The times that they give the drug tests aren't very convenient!
