How long after graduation did you wait before taking the NCLEX?
Did you take it right after the end of classes, or did you take a few months to study? If you took it right away, do you wish you had taken more time?
I took mine 1 1/2 weeks after graduation, which was the earliest I could get an opening for the testing center. Never regretted it as I passed.
Its been shown that the sooner you take it the better your chances of passing, the longer out from graduation the more chance of failure.

For the PN I graduated in may and took the NCLEX in august. I wanted to take it sooner but it's hard to get an appt fast in ny because they fill up fast. I graduated the RN program on march 16th and am taking the NCLEX on June 12th. Part of me wants more time but the other part wants to get it over with. Statistics show the sooner you take it the higher the odds are of passing.
I graduated in December and took the NCLEX the first week of January, only a couple days after I got my authorization to test. The only reason I did it so soon was I knew I would be having knee surgery and didn't want to try studying while on pain meds after surgery. It worked out well for me because if I have to wait awhile, then I tend to worry and get really nervous about it. The way I did it, I didn't have time to worry because I was busy studying.
I graduated in early May and took NCLEX about three weeks later. I'm happy that I didn't wait any longer because I feel like I may have forgotten some important concepts. To study, I looked through the purple Kaplan book and just reviewed NCLEX questions from a book that only had NCLEX Qs/As (from "The Incredibly Easy" series).

I graduated May 22, our final was May 14, and our school sent our paperwork to the NY BON on May 23!) I got my ATT yesterday and scheduled my test for Monday afternoon (I could have taken it this weekend, but I am going out of town). I am finishing my review class today, and I feel like I am as ready as I am going to get...
