How long to get license issued?

Published

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows the current timeframe it takes for a state to issue a license?

Thanks

In my state it is 48-72 hours after passing the NCLEX.

My classmates got their license 24 hrs after NCLEX. I had to wait until Monday because I took it on a Friday. Some states, like California, may take weeks to get your license.

It has been 3 weeks now & I can not get any information about my license number. I am not sure what to do.

What state are you in? Some take a notoriously long time. What may be true in other states may not be true for the state you are in.

I am in Massachusetts.

I'm from MA, and it took about 2 weeks for them to post my license. I passed my NCLEX July 9. They emailed me/posted my license for look up on July 22

I took my exam on a Tuesday, and got my license 2 days later. I got it in the mail many weeks later. I am from PA if that helps

Does anyone know about Louisiana RN license times? I just took my NCLEX.

Maybe it takes longer this time because there's a lot of new graduates now. Try calling the boards.

I'm in California and took the NCLEX the week of Thanksgiving 2019

It took 17 days for my license to post on the Breeze website (however, I had a good PVT pop up at 24hrs after the exam.)

I didn't know it at first, but California now participates in quick results (only for RN licensure) So I paid the fee at 14 days after the exam and got an "unofficial pass"

WI took less than 24 hours - I was still waiting for my quick results to be available when they emailed me and said it was issued. lol
