I am currently a CNA in a LTC. My problem is, by the middle of the shift, I'll be showing a little of myself everytime I bend down. I'm a big guy about 250lbs down from 300lbs. From all the lifting and repositioning, I tend to sweat and my pants seem to get looser and my undershirt gets untucked. That's where my problem begins. I've tried many different things to avoid the problem: re-tucking my shirt, wearing a larger undershirt, wearing a tighter undershirt, tieing (sp?) my pants as tight as possible. Being that I'm going to be working in a hospital (ortho) within two weeks, I really don't want everybody in the hospital to see my plumber's crack. Any suggestions?
I say revel in the crack...It is what seperates us from the women in out field. they never show crack.......
I don't know about that. I have seen lots of nurses that bend over doing tasks and lets just say that their Vickies are no longer a secret........... Along with that there is an occasional crack; perhaps their Dad was a plumber and they inherited it????
Do you know anyone with a sewing machine who could nip the waists for you?
I have a long torso and have a problem with certain brands with too low a rise even if they are not supposed to be low rise. The fronts often come up over my navel with the backs at the coccyx.
Cherokee Workwear cargo pants are high enough. http://www.marcusuniforms.com
Gotta love these male discussions! Try Landau at All Heart. I think they have pants with elastic and belt loops. Might be a couple of bucks less than Aviators.
Agreed. I love these.
I'm a nosy girl that was a little tired of reading all the sentimental stories about how an angels and teddy bears. I would not survive the nursing field without my male co-workers. I so expected a thread like this... and yes go with the long undershirt. PS never go sans undershirt with a hairy chest and a gold cross chain necklace. just don't.brittany
Sounds like someone has a boy friend!
