How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

Mari you are AWESOME!!!!! you out did yourself once again and I love it! Lol I'm checkingput that skyscape since I know for sure we need them. I asked a clinical student from nova about the scrubs as well and she got the Gray Anatomy ones like you said your friend did all she had to do was engrave it. I want to order them asap cause I don't want to wear regular clothes lol the watch I'm looking into only because I have a techno and not sure if they are strict about the colors. And I have the money now to but it lol later on I'll be BROKE! Only a couple of more weeks to go!!!! Aaahhhhhhh sharks!!!

I still haven't gotten my acceptance package yet!! I'm getting really anxious and worried. I've contacted the school and was told it is on its way but its been about a week now. Can someone tell me what is in the package? When and where do we need to pay for our semester tuition? ahhh!

You must be so excited! you finnaly got accepted after you thought you had to reapply to the winter term, CONGRATS :yeah: . Well as for the package you should get that about a week after your acceptance, but you have $750.00 due already you can make that payment over the phone and then another $250 due august 1. pay that ASAP so that you may begin on your background, immunizations and your physical. As well you will have to complete a residency form call them and have them fax it to you or ask if you can use one from Online. there is a couple of things that you have to take care and you don't want to fall behind. GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!! :nurse:

Hey!

Where do we get these grey's anatomy scrubs? And what color is the website calling them? Does everyone like them because they are cheaper or because they fit better? I don't want to get in trouble at school over a price tag. But, if they fit better I'm in!! haha. I just want to get them in advance so I can be ready for our first day. Who got their books already? I was going to buy them online to save some money! I'm so excited all of you are here so we can get to know each other! We should plan a lunch or dinner or something so everyone can meet :)

Nicole, the grey anatomy ones just fit better but it all depends on the person..... some sites have it down as aquamarine others as just teal... i am waiting until orientation just in case they switch something up... i am also wanting to purchase them because i plan to wear them that week!! I dont want to be dressing up!!! As for the books, i am pretty sure online is waaaay cheaper, thats what i am going to do if anything.... also i would try on the lab coats because the run different as well.. the smalls look really long on some ppl, etc... im only going to buy one even though they say 2..... I just signed my baptist scholars contract today so everything is just hitting me..... we start very sooooon!!!!

I think its a good idea to get together, that way we know faces at orientation... the next 27 months are going to be hell but hey im loving it!!!

Kpham, you could make the payments over the phone, they take forever for the acceptance packet, i waited like almost a week and a half.. you could do most things online like Nicole stated... call them and make your payments, the last payment for NSU is Aug 1st... so get on top of that.... CONGRATS though!!! you are on your way!!!

yah i was looking on that site too, i dont know which paticular one we have to wear. I did try them on at the bookstore, but of coorifice when i see so many differnet styles on the site i cant remember which ones they exactly are. But anywas i think thats a great idea that we all meet up and get to know each other! let me know when and where! lol oh and i got my first book today in the mail! the human physiology one! :)

Thank you karina33t1 and jerziana29! Well so far I've paid all my registration fees but as far as that I have no clue what else I'm suppose to do. I'm gonna wait a few more days to see if the package comes in the mail. I want it already! How do we find out about our books and our class schedule?

@Nurse2b23- You got your A&P book? Which one did you get? I just ordered all mine on Amazon today, but I was confused about the A&P one. Our book list from the orientation website says to get the Fox one, but the Nova bookstore says otherwise... very confusing...

Hey ladies! Could you please inform me on the list of books? I'm totally lost about the books and every time I call they tell me to just wait until Orientation, but I dont want to wait until last minute. Please let me know! :D

If you go to the Nursing Programs page, click on "students", then on "orientation." Once in the orientation page, on the right side of the page click on the Fort Lauderdale Entry Level BSN Orientation's page. Then there will be a link on the right side for our book list.
