They ruled out heart problems and stroke, according to the news. What's your best guess, based on what you see here?

slurring words before he passed out.

Dehydration or low blood sugar are good guesses. I think the news report I read ruled out CVA, I wonder if they include TIA in that catogory.
The Attorney General appears to be an older gentleman, probably on more than one med. I assume they'll check his levels, make sure that this isn't medication induced.

I think it's a CVA. Given his age, and the way he slurred his words. If it was a heart block or asystole, I think he would have showed more dizziness before suddenly collapsing. Here he just kind of crumpled. If it was an MI, I think he would have showed some signs of pain. It doesn't really matter what the new ruled out, but if they are correct, then I guess blood sugar, or blood pressure problems.
So do we know what the real answer is?

I think TIA too.
But it could have been low blood sugar.
I've also had it happen with a person who was at a funeral - he hated funerals but this one was something he couldn't avoid. He had also just taken some Vicodin for chronic back pain. And the room was hot. He was sitting at a table, his words slurred, he passed out.
The ER doc thought it was the combo of all the things I mentioned.

I first thought stroke or mini-stroke.
They are giving him a clean bill of health.

He looks rather older than his stated age of 67 to me. Perhaps he pushes himself too hard.

I first thought TIA and I'll stick with it. Wonder if they'll ever tell? He does look older than his stated age. ITA
TIA was my first though, but they denied cardiac problems.
I heard mention of a "hot heart"??? Huh. Might have been the closed captioning error on the tv.

Last night when this was reported on our local news, they stated that a hazmat team had been sent to the location because he was not the only person who 'took ill' at this event. Two people were taken to the hospital with simiar symptoms although no problems were found in the environment.
My guess is that the second person was a little overwhelmed by the events. It's kind of disturbing to see someone collapse like this.
My first thought last night was also TIA, but they appear to have denied that today.
