Oh yes.....you have to love the whole "grades are not rounded" attitude in nursing school. I think this was my favorite statement in every course syllabus in my school: "you must have a 76% to pass, and 75.99% is NOT considered passing!
Even though I understand your frustration, 92.4% is a fantastic grade for fundamentals! Congratulations!
I seem to always be on the borderline! Last semester (Fundamentals 1st semester), I could only miss 6 on the final to keep my A. Well, I missed 6! Ended up with a 92.5% and they do round up! This semester in Med/surg, I can only miss 7 to keep my A. Unfortunately, it's 100 questions worth 2 pts each, so in reality, I can only miss 6 AGAIN!
Last night I had my Mental Health final. I can only miss 12 to keep my A. I had 13 questions that were really irking me! The wording was horrible on most of those. That would leave me no room for error on the other 87 questions and would have to get at least one of the 13 right. I'm really bummed. I'll just have to wait and see my grade tomorrow.
I feel for you! I'm already prepping myself for that first (maybe even second)B that may be coming my way. Unfortunately, the hospitals I will be applying to DO want a copy of your transcript!
Our A is at least at 90, with rounding up. Our B's are 89-84, and C 83-80. Anything else is F. I feel sooo bad for a few of my study group members....One got a 79.8!! (and they don't round to pass someone through the course!) OUCH. Another got a 79.7, missed 1 ? more than she could on the final. At least one study group person is going on to next semester with me, and waiting to hear about another one...(with fingers crossed.)
