Geez.....why so worried about points away from A's or B's????

You have two arms & legs that work and are able bodied, right??? Life is too short to sit & go on & on about how many points away from an A or B you were..............obviously if you passed the course with an A,B,or C......you are competant. That's fantastic for anyone who can keep a perfect4.0 GPA....kudos to you!!!

What about the people who have had horrible things happen during school and still managed to plug along despite it all......and just get by???? There have been some I know of & I have even more respect for them just for being able to keep going despite the obstacles...... Life is too short to worry about minor things really.....jmpo ;)

I think the original poster did mention that "it didn't matter" so I doubt they are extremely worried or losing any sleep over it. I think they would only be human not to take notice of barely missing an A. I think we can do that, vent about it, be a little frustrated, and still keep life (and spritiual things to those that believe it) in perspective.

Kind of like when you burn yourself on the stove.....yeah you're greatful you didn't get burned in a house fire, and what about those poor people who did lose their house and are in intesive care with burns..........it still burns and you say ouch. Then you move on.

Look, I didn't say that--I am sorry you took it that way. We all work hard for our grades.

Please let's drop this. This is getting out of hand. I won't be checking this thread again because this is non productive.

Thanks.

Sorry to the OP.

Good idea. No need for any of us to hijack the thread. Although no Terms of Service Violations have occurred, the original poster was venting, if we can't support that or relate, perhaps best to not post.

Vent all you want! I understand!

Some of us ARE concerned with keeping a high GPA in order to get into certain grad school programs (NP, CLS, etc). I know the minimum to get into the NP program here is to have a 3.0 in all your nursing classes. I would be personally SICK if I made all C's or just barely passed. I have a right to feel that way.

Anyways, I made two A's this semester and 2 B's which were so close to an A that I was dissapointed in myself a bit, but I'm not losing sleep or anything over it.

EXACTLY. Some of us see the ADN or BSN as a stone on our educational path. The grades are extremely important.

In my Fundamentals class, not one A. That was really hard to take.

Agree

i am very concerned about my grades, don't get me wrong, but for me, i am not going to beat myself up over it. i just regroup and make it my business to do better next time. and for your info...bsn is a stepping stone for me also. for the record, maybe i did come off as a little harsh and for that i apologize. no more responses for me either.

I agree that it does stink! I got one A and two B+'s this time around, Obviously these are still good grades, but I was a bit disappointed in myself (I know full well that I truly didn't work as hard as I could have this quarter). Good luck to all of us in making our grade goals next semester, be they A, B, or C.

(P.S. for heavens sake can't we all just let people vent when they need to?)
