Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Hey everyone! I saw that there was a residency thread for Spring but not for Summer 2022. I graduate in March 2022 and I believe a lot of the Summer cohorts begin in June/July. I plan to move to Houston once I've written my NCLEX! Where is everyone considering applying? I am looking at Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St Lukes. I would also prefer to be at hospitals specifically in the sugar land area so I hope when the time comes theyll have the units I want in certain locations. I would like to be in the PACU! Is there anyone else that wants to work in the PACU as well?

HEY, joining this forum! I am sooo all over the residency programs. Just so you know my school had an information session with Methodist. Their residency program for Summer opens in February. HCA says on their website that they are always taking residency applications. Something about being hired up to 6 months before you graduate. MD Anderson seems to have their clinical nurse residency program always posted for different units. If you want to get into their specialty nursing like research that seems to only be open a few times a year. I have not yet figured out that time frame though. I believe that TCH opens in March but I could be wrong. I currently work at St. Luke's but I forgot their hire date. I do know that they pick from their extern nurses first for their programs, so if you want to get into there look for their externship program. I'll gladly post more dates as I get them figured out!

Hey jumping in the forum to try and keep with all the residency programs I’m from Houston but I’m going to nursing school in Oklahoma I graduate in May 2022 I am looking to apply at Houston Methodist, MD Anderson, St Lukes, Texas children’s basically anywhere possible I’m looking to work in the OR, Peds, CVICU

St Lukes is open for applications. Does anyone have information on nurse residency salaries? I am trying to compile info for my cohort but having issues finding anything on that that looks recent

Yeah they are open for April and July. The last day to apply is March 5 for both. If you go on their career services and type nurse residency both applications pull up.

Do you guys do a paper for the app for Texas Childrens I seen it like on the home page, but once I went to apply it’s not under the qualifications
