Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Has anyone gotten an offer from the med center TCH for NICU ?

Are you sure about that? I interviewed last Thursday and they said it would be a least a week if not more to hear back

I am not sure, someone said that on here. I interviewed with oncology last Thursday as well and haven’t heard back

I think it depends on the unit because mine said by the end of next week!

I know someone who got hired on the NICU for TCH. Im not sure if they are still calling people. I applied for their cardiac floor at TCH and never heard back

No call. My application still says its under review however.

I just randomly got an email from MH with a list of what units and locations still have spots available

"Units available for Northeast: 

Med/Surg- Multi Specialty Unit

Med/Surg- Surgical Care Unit

Med/Surg CDU- Clinical Decision Unit

Med/Surg- Telemetry Unit

IMU- Intermediate Care Unit

 

Units available for Greater Heights: 

Med/Surg CDU- Clinical Decision Unit

Med/Surg- Float Pool Unit

Med/Surg- Rehab/Ortho Unit

Med/Surg- Medical/Surgical Unit"

I accepted an offer elsewhere so I'll be letting them know I'm not interested! So hopefully others can get the options
