Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Hello Graduate Nurses,

 

The HCA StaRN team is hosting a hiring event for our Houston Market! Please only sign up for ONE interview slot below if you would like to attend. If you already have an interview pending please disregard this email.

 

The hours are from 9:00am – 3:00pm

Wednesday, April 28th  –click here to schedule your Interview!

Thursday, April 29th  –click here to schedule your Interview!

 

Please place which HCA Facilities that you are willing to consider in the comments section. You may interview at any location, regardless of which facility you are interested in.

·         Arrive 5 minutes early, failure to do so can result in your interview being cancelled.

·         Dress professionally (No jeans, shorts, flip flops or tank tops).

·         Bring several copies of your resume.

The hiring event is all of HCA locations that could be near you, they are just hosting the event at HCA kingwood. 

 

Yesterday, the event was at a Marriott near South Houston. 

I cannot PM you on here to send you the recruiters’ emails (I need to hit 15 posts first ) but if you can PM me. I can send you all of their email addresses.

For any interviewees that had an interview at St. Joseph Medical Center, had either of y'all heard anything back from the RN recruiter recently? I thought that we would be hearing back by this past Monday.

I got a call from St. Josephs for the ICU. I accepted their offer but am still waiting to hear from HR for all their documentation.

How did your interview go? 

A few questions I got were: tell me about yourself and a few other questions involving my resume.

I doubt that I will get a callback or if they are still calling people. I wanted a position in a competitive department. ?  I will keep on hoping though. I would might have HCA to fallback on if I never hear back from St. Joseph.

I accepted a position on the PCU at St Luke’s TMC! Did anyone else get an offer for the PCU?
