One of my LTC residents was scheduled to be discharged home the following morning. In addition to the routine DC paperwork as to precautions s/p hip surgery....next office visit, etc, my bubbly young assistant had written a note to the family stating that she had notified the outside pharmacy of pending discharge, what meds had been prescribed, etc. The last sentence of this thoughtful note had us all on the floor. "The pharmacist I spoke to was Hung".

I see the humor BUT I am a bit slow because I cannot figure out what she really meant? I know I will kick myself once I learn what it is because it is probably staring me in the face.

Was he related to Long Duck Dong??? (From the movie Sixteen Candles for you young ones)(pushing the limits of the TOS I know, but can't help it today.)

Reminds me of a cardiologist we have at the hospital, whose name is Dr. Hung. Sounds like the title of a bad Mediao.
Go figure his wife kept her maiden name though....

I wonder how many staff members went to that pharmacy after they read that.

I'm sure that some Hmong or Vietnamese, or Japanese people would be rather insulted by our smiles. :chair: I am terrible at pronouncing some of their names, but I know "Hung" is not really pronounced like we pronounce it. Just an observation. I'm really not trying to be a party pooper! All over our city we have signs advertising FOCHER HEATING. All I know is that I would change my name.

I think he is the nephew of Wang Hung Lo! One of my friends told me.
