I just registered for this upcoming semesters classes and I wanted to take Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology together so I can apply for the nursing program after the summer semester.. Is this a bad Idea or should I just go ahead and knock it out. I'm not working at the moment and I have a lot of support from my family when it comes to "money" so I'm just trying to get some good advice from someone who has already been through this... Please Help !!!!!

I took physiology and micro in the same semester while taking English and sociology and managed to get A's. It is possible but its going to depend on how hard you study and how much the teachers are going to require of you. My advice is to look up the teachers and see how other people have rated them. Then be honest with yourself and decide if you can realistically do it. Its better to get an A in one class than C's in three classes.

I had a girl in my a & p class do this. She wasn't working, but had 2 kids and was in the army reserves so had drill one weekend a month. she was able to pass both classes with a B. It really depends on you though and what sort of professor you have. Personally I use ratemyprofessor.com as a guide for which teachers to get, but I know that some people have had professors who are great (contrary to the terrible rating). If you feel like you can handle studying a lot every day, then you should be good. The girl in my class said she studied 3 hours/day Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and 5 hours/day Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Yes! I just did it and got an A in both. You can do it!!! Just stay organized and keep up with your studying. I took 6 classes this semester (Physiology, Microbiology, Microbiology Lab, Pharmacology, Human Growth & Development and Intro to Health Professions). It was a tough semester, but with good planning & organization, I was able to get a 4.0 in all Would I recommend it for everyone? No. You'll need to sit down and figure out how much time you can devote each day to your studies. If you feel you can handle it and you love science...go for it!!!
Best of luck to you :D
WOW!!! You are awesome for completing all of that at once. Thank you so much for you encouragement. I'm going to work hard on staying organized so that I can complete all of my classes with an A. I'm also taking Nutrition this semester along with the two science classes. Thanks again
Thanks Zoe, Yeah I'm a pretty good studier. I can commit to some of those hours. I believe if I just take out a lot of time for studying I will be find. Thanks for responding..

I just did A&P II, micro and a computer class. If you're not working and are academically prepared, you'll be fine.

Yes, it was so hard. I got an A and B in the end. My microbiology teacher was really hardcore, but in the end I really learned a lot. Good luck!

I checked them out on ratemyprofessor.com and it looks like I will be okay.. thanks for commenting on my post.

I'll be doing it in March as well! Good luck!
It's actually micro and A&P 2 with their labs that I'll be doing. I have chemistry and an English class from January to March. Then math in the summer and start the NURS classes in the fall.
