Are you constantly checking out your neighbor's veins? How about when you are out shopping or on a vacation? Or, when viewing your favorite TV show? It's happened to quite a few people. Has anyone ever caught you in the act??

I have been a PCT/RN for under a year....and yes. I am so guilty of this! My boyfriend won't even let me touch his arms if we are sitting watching a movie. He keeps them out of reach at most times because it is hard for me to keep from searching for a good vein!

Yep, same here. Sometimes I grab my husband's hand, start touching a nice bouncy vein and say, "Man..... I could get a sixteen in that sucker."

I trace my SO's. He has the biggest & most beautiful bulging veins I have ever seen.

Doesn't every nurse?

Yeah, I guess so. Everyone is guilty of this. hahaha.

Haha, so do I! It's hard to stop oneself!

Just last night I looked over at my husband and saw four of the most beautiful big, buldging veins. I couldn't take my eyes off them. He, being him, thought I was giving him the 'come hither' look :)

When talking with my daughters when they notice a blank stare or my sentence trail off they yell "Momma! Really?! You are thinking about sticking a needle in my vein aren't you?!" HAHAHA.

My brother has those garden hose veins. He'll catch me looking at them every once in awhile and say "Stop looking at me like that!" LOL

I'll be at the gym looking in the mirror and between sets, I'll think "I could so stick myself right now." I have decided that having my patients lift a few weights will make finding a vein so much easier.

Omg yes! I think we should try that! Although...if you miss anyways that gives them something really hard to hit you with! :s
