I have already had a yummy roll from our secretary, ordered lunch with staff from our local restaurant, and my desk is full of candy, cookies and valentine cheezits (who knew??).
How's your "thank God it's Friday" Valentine's Day going??

Elementary skipped their class parties this year in favor of going to a movie. Middle/high school have an assembly. So no kids all morning!

Our school discourages treats, but some parents are rebels and have sent in chocolates and cinnamon rolls (YUMMO).

I’m happy as can be that my wedding invitations arrived yesterday! I’m scurrying to get them all ready to mail out tomorrow. I originally intended to DIY my invitations. I had a killer design but decided I’d rather save it for a wedding shower I’m hosting later this summer and save myself a million hours. So I've downloaded them from https://onplanners.com/invitations/simple-elegant-wedding , customized them and printed through the local shop

Boring, quiet...and if one more person who is in a long term relationship starts with all the " its just a Hallmark holiday " "we celebrate everyday" comments, I might smack somebody.
What I wanna say is "Good for you. You have known me long enough to know that I'm not thrilled to be single. It's been forever since I was thought of on Valentines day."
It is not helpful.
Am I whining? Why yes I am! Just stop and think that you are lucky enough to have had that many years that is really just another day, I haven't and I would like to. Simple as that.
Rant over!
Carry on and go get that half price chocolate!!!
Thought I posted this Fri....still feel the same LOL!!
