Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.
Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Well hello! Professional Dynamics was a shock but overall it wasn't too bad. My worst classes so far have been health assessment and concepts in community and public health. I guess your mileage will vary, go figure I loved stats!!

I didn't mind Health Assessment at all. Seemed like more busy work than anything. We all have our individual strengths and weakness's, likes and dislikes. You will find your own.
I don't like math and dreaded stats. Basically did what others have said and survived. Don't understand all of it, have a better understanding, but it's done. whew! I actually enjoy research, but overall it is the worst class so far. Not the class itself, but I have been assigned with the slacker, I don't wanna do any work clc group from _____. One last week and it is done.
So yeah I do not understand stats at all and I am dropping. I think I have too much going on and too many loud children in y house! I am going to see if I can take it on campus somewhere since luckily I m in Phoenix!

Try wolfram alpha for free. It helps with equations. I know they switched up stats after I took it. And they probably did it again, but wolfram is good for calculations
$8.00?? THUD (sound of my forehead hitting desk). Much much much cheaper than retaking the class or the copay for BID Protonix for a bleeding ulcer... I feel like running my old stuff through there just so I could finally understand it. Oh wait, I'm gradjeeated, what am I thinking??!! (totally would have used that though if I had known about it at the time). Double thud.

I hated how it was set up. The assignments were filling in questionnaires about assessments performed on people. reminded me of nursing school and the "busy work" that Puddles was talking about. Just wasn't my cup of tea, I was begging to write a paper after that class. Doesn't help that we had a instructor that was uninvolved with the class. No feedback, so most of the time I just winged it. Still got a high 'A', just didn't like it.
Capstone is over......2 more "anything" classes to go..do this once I get back from my travels! Prof wasn't involved a lot in the class..but by now, really should not require that. Slow marker, but a very fair marker!!

Are you going to complete those classes right away or take a break? This is why I want to take my elective before capstone, after capstone I will be done!!!

I'm heading back to Canada to help my dad move....when I get back will take the 2 at the same time
I was needing to double up a bit in order to have what class I was taking complete before we leave for R&R back in the U.S. this summer. I was able to get all of week 5 of Nsg research done last week, except for the group. Asked to double up this last week of research and first week of ethics and was approved. I am hearing crickets in ethics….LOL Class went from 22 to 19, and only five of us have done intros and no one has posted to the DQ forums except for me. So much for getting some substantial responses done early in the week.
