Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Murse2013PMI --- How many courses have you been told you need to graduate? Tokmom and I were told 12 classes. However, a friend of mine is only required to take 11. She is exempt from one I had to take. Have you taken something similar to Professional Dynamics in the past? Let us know what happens. You've peaked our curiosity. ;-)
I was originally told I would only have to do 11. That the ethics class I took at my previous college would count for this one. However, they then said I needed to have 36 credits from this school to graduate so they put me back in the ethics class. So even though my class was accepted over their ethics class I still had to take it.
Has anyone had a teacher add CAT's in addition to the DQ's? My patho teacher says that we have to reply to a CAT that she came up with on Wednesdays in addition to our Friday DQ question. The DQ questions are already busy in patho. I don't like that she added her own.
What is that? I've never heard of it - CAT?
I was wondering what CAT was too. I was seeing a picture of a cat on the dq LOL.We didn't have CAT's per se, but the instructor did ask questions in her responses or throw in others along the way that were random. We were not expected to answer them.
She said we have to answer these by Midnight on Wednesdays. And they are a part of our participation grade. You already know how busy the DQ's in patho are. She adds more that are busy just like that.
I am overwhelmed by all the comments of how much work is required but I am better prepared now just by paying attention to this thread in particular. I am ready to start come Monday!
I enjoyed the first class and thought it was very doable. I am not very far into the second class so can't say anything about it yet. I like that I am able to focus on one class only. You should be able to access your class today or tomorrow if you want to get a head start

I had taken a professional nursing course at a state university but GCU said it wouldn't transfer because professional dynamics is their intro course specific to GCU or something along those lines. I don't think you can get out of PD. I talked with Chamberlain also who wouldn't allow the state university or GCU's PD to count for their first course either.
