  1. After you've requested, be sure to check ALL of your facebook messages where they will request the e-mail and start date. There is a filtered message section where I kept missing their message and subsequently wasn't being approved.
  2. I'm only three classes in, but I have been using my Mac with no issues. My mentor did tell me to use the Firefox browser though.
  3. Jasilady do you mind pm'ing me your cultural diversity instructor? I am taking this class next and a little nervous, I have read it is "paper-heavy." But it sounds like you are managing just fine so hopefully everything will go ok for me!
  4. Hi RokzRN, so you are taking 2 nursing courses for the July session? I am scheduled for Cultural Diversity. Which courses are you taking?
  5. Hello, just thought I would reach out. I started Chamberlain in the May session so I am almost done with the first class (nr 351 transitions). So far so good, don't have anything negative to say. I work and have young kids and this first class is VERY manageable!
  6. I am scheduled for transitions and cultural diversity, but I plan on just taking transitions instead of two classes. From what I've read on this site transitions is a good class to pair with another course but I am finishing up an 8 week statistics course at another college and I need a break! :***:
  7. I am starting Monday as well :)
  8. Sorry can't help you for that one, my instructor was a TA for that course.
  9. Interesting... I just talked to an advisor the other day who said I transferred in 87 credits and only required 11 out of the 12 core courses and nothing else to graduate. I mentioned the 36 credits and they said you had to have 30 credits from GCU for GCU residency. I took an upper level pathophys at a state university so this is the course I am transferring in, in addition to my 84 for RN.
  10. If anyone had a good/fair/reasonable health assessment teacher they liked/enjoyed can you PM their name? OR- health assessment instructors I should stay away from? I would very much appreciate it! TIA!
  11. I can't say anything about the NOC/NIC etc. since I'm only in Family Health but I was taught in nursing school that only wellness diagnoses do not have related to factors. For risk diagnoses there are the related to factors but there is no evidenced by/manifesting symptoms because they do not have the issue yet. A patient at risk for impaired skin integrity doesn't already have skin breakdown. Their diagnosis would be risk for impaired skin integrity related to urinary incontinence etc. If they did already have skin breakdown the diagnoses would be impaired skin integrity, risk for infection, etc. HTH. I thought maybe you made a typo and switched the related to/evidenced by but wasn't sure so there's my two cents!
  12. Have you taken statistics? Did you use your Mac or PC? Some students were having trouble with excel on their Mac so I'm worried about stats
  13. That makes me feel better because that is what I have been using in this second class! I had been copying and pasting to my template. I use a Macbook and haven't noticed any issues so far with the template. That's another reason why I switched to the template because if I tried editing any little thing on the PERRLA reference page something would go haywire and I couldn't figure out what I was inputting wrong in the generator which is why I was manually editing the references. How did you become PERRLA proficient?
  14. I'm in the 2nd class and the max word count so far has been 1500. Most are 750-1000 words. Not bad at all. In fact, I'm often trying to figure out how NOT to go over the word count
  15. I got to thinking after I made that post on how nice it probably is to have all references in one place when you get further along. Wasn't thinking ahead, AGAIN! I think I saw somewhere that someone mentioned some instructors don't like PERRLA? How do they even know you used it?
