Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
I'm supposed to be starting the capstone on Monday, and I still will be, however, it's not the prof I held out 2 week for and Pandora and I are not together. I'm calling the advisor on Monday since they are closed for Good Friday until Monday morning. Ugh..I'm going to be on that phone at 0755 and redialing!
I am overwhelmed by all the comments of how much work is required but I am better prepared now just by paying attention to this thread in particular. I am ready to start come Monday!
Yay! And I agree with RN0511, this may be your last weekend of freedom but if I were you...I'd open up that class, download the syllabus, read any instructor Announcements for quirks s/he may have about DQ's, and get started on them! Once you get a few DQs down on paper in advance (saved to a Word doc) that you can just copy/paste into the forum in 2 seconds, you will be amaaaaazed at what a breather you'll feel throughout the week. I didn't have that bright idea when I first started, if it was due on Wed, I started it on Wed. Then, one Wed my mother in law had to get rushed to the ER, and I was kicking myself all the way there thinking, "WHYYYY didn't I do that stupid thing in advance??" Once she was settled and safe in her room, I peeled back home and submitted the crappiest DQ ever that I turned in at exactly 11:59pm. I was hoping I didn't get pulled over on the way home, can you see it? "Um, officer, I'm sorry, and I GOTTA GO 'cause my DQ's due in 10 minutes!" LOL Seriously, work ahead and save yourself a GI bleed
That sucks!! Ensure you do not post anything on that class!!, which I know ur aware of,lol I sent out an email yesterday stating I am taking time off again after this class!!! I depart Managua MAy 19th! We get packed out mid May--so I don't need the hassle of a class! Hope it works out for you
I enjoyed the first class and thought it was very doable. I am not very far into the second class so can't say anything about it yet. I like that I am able to focus on one class only. You should be able to access your class today or tomorrow if you want to get a head start
I like the idea of only 1 class at a time to focus on as well. The way they have their online classroom set up is so easy to manage. I will check again today if class info is avail to download and I will be on it! I did my bio already, downloaded Perrla as well, and have a little quiet place in the house to focus on this "tornado" that is about to happen. Bye bye life as I knew it!

I love the LoudCloud classroom! If you haven't, the tutorials on it were very helpful for me. Goes over replying to the discussion question, turnitin, etc. Knowing how to navigate makes everything much simpler and you can avoid all the technical errors many of my classmates (who obviously didn't do the tutorials) made. You will find your own routine that works best for you. I can't remember who..maybe PrismRN..someone said they get all their work done during the week and then have the weekends off. I wish I could do that but I tend to save the weekends for my papers. Last class I was submitting DQs on their due date and this class I had those done early and just have a couple peer responses and essay left. Anytime I'm lacking motivation, it's easy to come to AN and get inspired by the others who are almost finished! If they can do it, we can do it! I found I was still able to have a life but my house was a little messier and I maybe ate out a little more Good luck!
Hi everyone!
I just finished my last paper for Leadership & Management and turned it in (that was sooooo booooring!) and I'm glad that is over. I did like the teacher she was very nice and fair and grades right away so if anyone wants her name let me know I'll send you a message.
My current issue is my Pathophysiology class, this teacher has 7 or 8 pages worth of instructions and rules and she stated she is not an easy grader.
I feel that I need to get the heck out of here because if someone has to let me know that they are not easy graders and that they are not trying to bring me down with their grading methods but only trying to help me, then I am warned that something doesn't seem right. So, on Monday (they are closed today Good Friday) I too will be calling until I can get another patho class.
If anyone has taken Patho, can you PM me the instructor name that you thought was normal please?
I just don't understand why some of these facilitators have to go in there and add their own rules and policies on top of the school policies!
Thanks all I appreciate any info you can pass on.

HERE HERE I second that! I want to ask my advisor that very question, but haven't mustered up the gumption to do it yet. It is SOOO frustrating when I am in a class that I KNOW for a fact that others have taken (and the syllabus is the exact, BTW), but somehow the instructor throws in little tweaks and extras that make the assignment completely unrecognizable to the one that the previous class had to do. I went through this last week, the assignment description and the rubric seemed extremely clear and straight-forward to me, but no, the instructor had her own "take" on what it meant and had us all scrambling with questions in the QFI Forum asking for clarification over and over and over. Oh, and here's a tip: They don't like it when you copy/paste the assignment into a QFI and out them in front of everybody by saying (in effect) "the assignment says this, but you say this, which is it because that's not what the assignment says". LOL. yeah, don't do that.

I just had a thought: Wouldn't it be wonderful if the staff all had their bio's and class instructions (and weird little idiosyncrasies) posted out and you could read them all and YOU get to decide whose class you wanted to sign up for? Now that's an idea!
