Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
From all I hear and see, I will get a decent education for my buck at GCU. Many other online programs may be cheaper but there are constant timed quizzes and tests. I know, from my vantage point, I can't handle that stress and work full time as well. Either I do it with GCU or forget it.
Our prof just assigned the colors for our groups today in capstone! Please tell me that we don't have a clc in capstone.
I have looked through the syllabus and don't see anything that looks like we would need to be in groups. Any ideas?
Derk...how did this turn out? That is just insane! I told my hubs and he lol. Said that would have sent me round the bend fo'sure! He just finished his first class (as a official student in his program) with an A. I do believe I saw some of those same looks I made ...back in the day!!!! Lolololololol.
Winter
It took about a week before the prof posted that there was not a clc. I was so busy writing that I couldn't even think enough to stress over it! This is a crazy puzzle I am putting together for this class. Sure wish there were directions for it! A nice explanation before you begin would be good. My brain is soooo tired of thinking and my fingers are soooo tired of typing. Can't wait for this to be over! 2 1/2 weeks left
Winter, Hope the dust has settled a little bit for you. I am in my week 5 of Trends, then AMP450, then Capstone. But our family was hoping to move this summer but no luck on finding a house rental yet. The perfect house awaits us, but I fear it will shine while I am in Capstone.. But cannot pass up a good house when its available..
I was busy through week 4. Week 5 was tweaking the final paper. I didn't find myself laughing by any means. I think the difficulty depends on how much work one does on the paper. I had 5 addendum on top of my paper, so it was a bit meatier.
Maybe if one doesn't work or have family at home, it would not be that busy. However, juggling a full time job and kids, made this class super busy.
Guess the above was at me,lol yes no kids, don't work..I only had a Powerpoint and a questionnaire....I didn't do much in week 5...I followed the example they provide in week 5..tweaked some of my paragraphs.....but part of the game is knowing what the prof wants, expects and give them that.....and some people are better writers than others..not saying I'm a great writer, far from it....One has to know ones own capabilities.....I think in the end it was 39 pages of love..not including PPT or questionnaire. One has to know your own strengthens/weaknesses, and want the prof wants......
How is your guy's experience with Grand Canyon's Online program? I'm looking into applying but I don't know anyone that has attended GCU Online. Is there A LOT of writing? It looks like there is a ton of writing, which I don't excel in.
I need to know if I'm going into GCU soon since classes are about to start.
