  1. BSN

RNcali22 replied to RNMAN718's topic in Diploma, ADN, BSN
1st Central BSN, RN great pulling all that together to back up your point. I like seeing the research. Wanting that evidence is probably the biggest thing I got out of my BSN. On the other note as far as patient care and the core of who I believe I am as a newer nurse came from my ADN training hands down. My BSN taught me how to look for info for EBP and write one heck of a paper to spread that info but my ADN meant more to me because that is where I learned to crawl. The research is abundantly clear regarding pt outcomes and mortality regarding BSN nurses. I don't think it's a question of better or worse, I think it's more of an opportunity to have a deeper understanding and how in the heck would be having more education be bad. Knowledge and the search of it is a beautiful thing. In the end we are all nurses ADN, BSN etc we should support each other no matter the letters
  2. I started as a new grad in a level II trauma center. Super crazy busy and I Iove every minute of it! I go to work everyday with a smile. I work my butt off I earn every cent I make for sure. I so agree that a supportive team environment is a must because without that support I wouldn't have felt safe. I'm learning everyday growing and becoming part of the well oiled machine that is ER. Good luck and follow your heart
  3. Thank you so much
  4. Tokmom yes that's exactly it totally surreal. Barely know what to do with myself just wish they'd move it on grades lol
  5. Just wanted to drop in haven't been in awhile but super excited because I have officially finished my last class!!! No more DQ's or papers or power points woohoo the day did come I can't believe it. This thread was so helpful thanks for the people who started it and all those that contributed you rock
  6. My program required that but you had 3 tries
  7. Of course it's time consuming lol it's a degree online or not. Here's the silver lining you get pretty good at whipping those papers out. What use to take me a day to write now takes me a couple of hours and the DQ's I can do both in less than an hour (I do them both the same day) and I do 2 replies and that leaves me one day to do my paper and 2 replies and another day of 2 quick replies. So I would say 5-7 hours a week depending on the class. Not in the beginning but about the 3rd class you'll find your rhythm. My friend is in class 2 she said the same thing lol. I have 3 weeks and 5 days left so believe me when I say you can do this there is a light at the end of the tunnel
  8. I absolutely love love love my ER job! I am very outgoing and social as well as a caregiver at heart. Now the team I work with is fabulous and most of the personalities go so well together that it makes a world of difference. On top of that the management is supportive and proud to lead the department. Greatest blessing ever getting into the ER
  9. I'm at Riverside Community and I really enjoy the staff and the leadership. It's not easy work always busy great pay and benefits.
  10. Yes they did it prior to 24 hours I did it 20 minutes after got the good one my friend got the bad one and did it about an hour after and she did not pass
  11. Everyone has to confirm payment and hit submit that is not the bad Pop up. It when you hit submit and they charge you that you know you failed
  12. Well I guess anything is possible but most likely no I'm so sorry. Now It is a trick you can't bank on it only actual results are for sure. That being said I don't personally know anyone it hasn't worked for both ways pass and fail out of 4 separate graduating classes. Since they already took your money there is nothing to do but wait to get your quick results if your not in California.
  13. ro2878 I'm getting the peer review assignment next week and if I get a really bad paper from someone I don't know what to do. Lol send it back unacceptable at this level (I wish) I'm sure they wouldn't allow that
  14. They told me I needed 11 because I already had stats but then a few month in the 12 random class pops up and I can test out if it. The explanation I got was you need a minimum of 12 upper division 300-400 level classes to complete this program. It happened to a bunch of people in my class all at the same time. Ask you advisor they should be aware of it and good luck
  15. It worked for everyone in my cohort as well as the 2 cohorts after that. It's not a guaranteed until you get results but it certainly let me breath better. Congrats by the way.
