  1. So my advisor says they still have group projects. Someone I was in the BSN program now has an MSN and said they didn't have any???? Ugh
  2. Yeah. I had some real slackers and just don't want to deal with that again. I'm hoping they've eliminated them since it's big dissatisfaction piece for many people.
  3. Thank you. Group projects are a deal breaker for me. LOL
  4. Hey all. I finished my BSN with GCU in 2015. Recently started my MSN education with Aspen which is fine but I realized GCU requires 9 classes and Aspen requires 12. Aspen is bit more flexible allowing 6 months off between classes and no group projects! Does anyone know if GCU has group project requirements in their MSN education program?
  5. Best wishes Winter. I hope you love where you are. Moving is so much work. I don't know envy you! LOL
  6. No pay increase for me with a BSN. There is a $2500 bonus but you have to commit for 2 years additional employment if you take it. I'm debating whether to take it or not since I live 94 miles from my employer. With now having a BSN I could apply for jobs in the Chicagoland area which is half the commute and more money. Problem is that I actually like my job and fear leaving a job I like and landing somewhere that's awful.
  7. My coworker tested out of a class with the substance abuse exam and she said it was a good one.
  8. Instructors can definitely make or break a course. Thank goodness for all the suggestions through this forum.
  9. Same here. I just found an alternative one on my own.
  10. If you haven't tried thinking storm please try it before you drop. They will literally walk you through the assignments.
  11. Enjoy Winter! Congrats on the hubs nailing a new job. Will you need to relocate? There's still that $10,000 sign on bonus at my hospital for new hires and the person who referred them!
  12. Woohoo. Doesn't it feel sooo good.....almost eery that you're done....like really for real done...no paper or DQ to do....it's heavenly.
  13. beccajean. One of my coworkers took the substance abuse one and said it wasn't bad.
  14. So close Winter. It's kinda weird to actually be able to relax without guilt....but make no mistake I AM NOT COMPLAINING. Congrats to you ladies who walked. Me and 2 workers debated flying to AZ to walk but ones getting married in October and I'm going to Hawaii in November so we decided against the expense. Would've loved to have met you in person though! Enjoy your new freedom.
  15. I'm traveling to my nieces BSN graduation in May with zero guilt of things needing to be done. Also picking up some extra shifts at work since I have 2 kids in college. But it's nice to feel like I actually have time to relax on my days off. I'm so glad it's over but so glad I did it. Oh, and my official transcript and diploma arrived in the mail today so I'm officially a BSN prepared RN. Winter....when are you done?
