Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hi everyone I tried looking for a list of these preferred and run for your life professors. Would someone mind messaging them to me. I'm in nursing research right now but Spirituality and Ethics is right around the corner. I was hoping Spirituality would be nice but from some of the posts it's looking a little on the other end so I would like to be prepared with at least a good professor
Ok I need some advice- I have registered for Capstone and the list of professors I gave my SA are not teaching at the time I am scheduled to take it. He said he looked ahead a week, but there were not any profs listed as of yet. Do I take the chance? I just really want to get this over with, but at the same time don't want to make myself miserable! I'm on summer break from work so I wouldn't have to worry about the added stress of working. Appreciate any advice!
I think that I would wait the week and see if your preferred instructor will be available. I also think that Flames is correct in saying that there are good instructors out there. worse case is your life is stressful for only 5 more weeks and you will be done.
I want to be done as well but I decided to take at least one week break between each remaining class. My mental status is more important.
My advisor warned me that Spirituality is tough. I keep wondering what she meant by that. Anyone care to chime in?
It is a bit more writing intensive..The class has changed since I took it..Looking back at the schedule every week we had 1 paper due, and in 1 week also had to critique another students paper. I didn't find it any more challenging than others..maybe less stressful as there was no group project! I think some are just challenged by religion...just keep an open mind.....pay attention to the Rubric and kick butt! I'm not a religious person at all, but respect those that are. Did I learn a whole lot, not really, lol, but I did learn some...
My dear advisor is sticking with me. I start 7/6. I will give one class a try, given my reluctance I am looking at one step at a time. If I can do ok.. I will continue.
Good luck, u can do it!! If ur paying out of pocket, its pretty flexible on when u take classes...I started Sep 2013, and I know of a few that started before me and still not done! 1 class at a time! When it comes to the papers or group projects, ensure u follow the Rubric.....as sometimes not all the required info is in the instructions!! PM sent

Hi I just started Spirituality, I have trends next. Please this list of Professors. I do Capstone in the middle of my classes, not at the end like most.
OK! 15 articles for Capstone are ready and waiting!

I don't know why this seems like such a huge mountain I have to climb over the next 5 weeks.
It is, in reality, just another paper... But...
The part that made it so frustrating for me (chime in here tokmom!) was the EDITING for the final week. What you'll find is that every week's paper requires some sort of rationale for why you're doing your project (stating what the problem is, what your solution is, etc.). So, by week 4, you have multiple Intro & Conclusion paragraphs (from each previous paper) that all basically say the same thing yet in a slightly different way. Honestly the mechanics of putting the final paper together was the hardest part, I found. When they say "just plop weeks 1-4 papers into the final one and type up an Intro & Concl and you're done!" that's not really true. If you did that, you'd have a paper that states the same thing over and over and over and over (x4) again all in different places throughout the final document. Nobody wants to read "Studies have indicated that as many as one in five Medicare beneficiaries over the age of 65 are readmitted to the hospital within 30 days of a previous discharge" on page 1, pg 3, pg 6, pg 9, pg 13...
So, in summary, don't underestimate week 5

There are a lot of good profs out there the 1 I had for Capstone on not on anyone's radar. Actually the only bad prof I had was the 1 I just dropped HLT 314 and she probably wasn't all that bad if you just did what she wanted (course was super boring though) Yep, register and take a look and see whats all involved. If you have done well so far in the course, it should continue in Capstone......
