Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

I know that feeling.

What class are you in now? I can't keep track of everybody, lol.

Right now I am in Spirituality.... I'm not a fan of this class.

Oh yes, that rings a bell. It was on ok class for me. I was too worried about APA formatting to really get into the coursework. That was sad for me. I was looking forward to delving into the beliefs of others. Can't say I didn't learn anything, however, the fear of having a period out of order took precedence for me.

My instructor has been so slow at grading. Week 4 starts tomorrow and we don't have week 1 fully graded yet. Only 1 DQ for week 2 and 3 have been graded. So I really have no clue where I stand in this class.

See, that's not right. We shouldn't be so paranoid about formatting that we learn nothing from our studies!

Hi there, mind if I join in on your conversation? I just started the online RN-BSN (taking Professional Dynamics). If anyone could PM me info on which instructors you've enjoyed or which ones to avoid, it would be greatly appreciated! Would love any info on what to expect for the future classes to come as well! Thank you!

I have an instructor that is on the slower side. I like the comments she makes though, as they are constructive and personal.

What I never like is turning in the second paper not knowing how they grade the first

I would appreciate that list also.

It isn't right. Sadly it happens.

I only have two that I would shy away from. Otherwise, Pandora and I have had some really cool instructors. Some are quirky, but quirky is doable, lol. What amazes me is how they get everything done. Many are adjunct instructors and work at local universities teaching. That is a lot of students, especially if they have two GCU and a couple of local classes.

Thank you, that is reassuring. What do you all tell your academic advisor when you say you want to switch classes? The truth? LOL

A lot of the work is already done for them----Really all theyhave to do is just mark papers/exercises, some do offer more assistance, more input into the papers
