Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Also she only wants 2 peer responses each week instead of three. Am I on vacation?
This does sound like a vacation! However, not trying to ruin your high, but I would be careful about this one and verify/clarify with your advisor to be SURE. I say this because I'm pretty sure that the DQ replies x3 days is a University/industry requirement that individual instructors cannot divert from. Attendance is a requirement in all classes from kindergarten on, if you're absent too many days you don't pass, no matter how well you did on your assignments, right? The standard for the 3d/wk is in place to demonstrate attendance, as online environments really offer no other way to prove a student is "sitting in class". I forget where I saw it, somewhere in the Student Portal (maybe in the grades section?) it gives a grid or breakdown of one's attendance in class (required to pass), and it clearly has the dates you posted in the forum and if that date was considered "100% attendance" for that date. Has your advisor ever said the following you: "I see you're posting on time and participating in class" ? They're obviously looking at something that counts up your days/posts. I hope it's true, that would be fab, but I'd double check that one!

You are right, she did specify on 3 separate days, but the # of posts is what has changed. She wants our original post and they 2 replies for each discussion topic. I don't worry however, topic 5 DQ 2 on my last class I had 10 total posts. I felt good and the words just flowed. Thanks for pointing this out. Working on my first DQ post now.
Subject: Spousal Support (not the financial kind LOL)
So I'm sitting here, as usual, prodding through my assignment due in a little over 8 hours. Much less, if I want to have wiggle-room to tweak the final product should TII have some seizure or something. Husband walks by. I take the opportunity to try and elicit some much-needed sympathy from a guy who has been out riding his motorcycle all day on a gorgeous 75 degree Sunday afternoon without a care in the world, while I sit here doing what I always do, write yet another blasted paper... So I say, "I'm not doing too well on my speech." His response: "I'm not worried about it, you'll pull it off, you always do" - no eye contact, no pat on the shoulder, just keeps walking.
Really? Couldn't even eek out a simple, "I'm sorry honey, I can't wait til you're done with all this. Can I get you anything?" I would've said no, but it would've been nice to have been asked and acknowledged that my weekends suck and yours don't. And I'm glad you're not worried about my assignment. Turd.
Uh, more like Duck Dynasty, but I'm sure he feels like Dennis Hopper when he's out there!btw, done, 9% TII, seeeee yaaaaaaaaaaa! :w00t:
I have never watched Duck Dynasty (no cable, dish in the sticks). I may have to stream an episode to see what I'm missing!
Congrats on the 9%! I know this paper wasn't the most enjoyable to write.
The weekly assignments in Leadership included a resume, a benchmark assessment, an executive summary, an individual powerpoint, and a health organization case study. No CLC. I breezed through that class. Those of you that have completed leadership class do you mind telling me how is the class structured? What are the assignments for each week?Same for trends. I am trying to see how much work will be each week to decide if I combine them or not. Thanks a lot
In Trends there will be a paper due each week, and a CLC powerpoint due the same week as a paper on how a bill becomes a law. It was a pretty heavy writing course. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you. So it seems that leadership is a good class to pared with. Every week paper is heavy but if leadership does not take too long to do the assignments may be doable.
I only doubled up on classes once during this program. I had leadership overlapping with pathophys, then pathophys overlapped with trends. You couldn't pay me to do that again, the DQ's in pathophys are involved (more like case studies). I think you'd do fine pairing up leadership and trends. Good luck!Thank you. The announcements for Health Assessment just posted and I may have a new favorite instructor. Everything is explained in detail including what she expects from the discussion posts. Noting funny, only warnings about the grades were hand thing in on-time through submission page, Turnitin below 20 or deductions, and ...... That was it I guess!

Can't spell out her name here but the initials are TD.
