Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Comedy of errors, not so funny. lol! So I started. Was happily doing my DQ, getting to know my group. All of a sudden started getting messages from ppl who were not in my group, wondering why I wasn't posting. Found out I had been put in two sessions of the same class. Reported to counselor. Told it was taken care of. Entered the other session, saw all kinds of messages about how I was not posting, ppl were reporting me, etc. Oh my... Wish I could laugh but I just can't. It had not been taken care of, nor had the instructor been told.

Oh well ignore them and focus on the active one. Not your fault!
Logged in this morning to do my last discussion response and got a little fed up. Reading some of the discussion posts to determine which one to respond to is grating on my nerves. Everyone is just phoning the final discussion in. One person, unfortunately one of my CLC group members, posted her initial discussion post. It included a paragraph that was 86 words long and made no sense. I guess she thought she could throw in 2 commas and a semicolon and it would be a complete paragraph..... NOOOOO.... Run on sentence...
Completed it, done with the class.
No, it has been too many things. I spoke with one student in the OTHER class that I am not really in, she said I am the only one that responded to her. And I am the one NOT in her group/class!! No one has even started the final assignment... She thought I would help her.. I was in another class!!
So I just logged into my next class and saw that I get 2 weeks off for the holidays! Yeah, maybe I wont take a break now until May or something. I should be able to recharge over that time.
Health Assessment looks different, no real paper to do just assessment sheets to fill out and a pamphlet. Worried that the instructor hasn't posted her announcements yet. How do I know if she is a APA wacko now? Going through the syllabus tonight and doing the first two discussion posts tomorrow.

You don't need to worry too much about APA format with that class. The assignments, at least through the 4th week (where I am at), only involve a short amount of writing. There is the pamphlet and the short write-up, the assessment of a child where you fill out the form and write several short paragraphs, the assessment of an adolescent, and the CLC powerpoint. I haven't looked at the last assignment yet but none of the others were too bad.

Haha! I know I had a few rambling DQ. After working a three day stretch, taking care of an unhealthy husband, special needs kid, paying bills, writing papers, and caring for the rest of the herd and house. There were days I didn't know if I could even spell "DUH" correctly.
Heck, you guys have to read the mess I post on here, after a three day stretch.
I have zero room to talk!!

What has been too many? I would call your advisor again and send an email to make sure you are out of the class, but overall I wouldn't worry about it. I think the multiple start dates probably caused a duplicate somewhere.

Thanks Derk, not really worried. I can be a little sarcastic at times. In my mind I think the instructor should have the class set up by now because isn't that what the preview is for? Maybe I am wrong. Not worried about the instructor, she is on the good list I have seen. Glad for the 2 week break over the holidays though..... I plan on working hard during the last week in service so that I can cruise the final week of the class as well as the days off.

I think you are right. Writing after working long shifts is difficult. I have had a few days off due to my surgery and I feel like I am writing much easier. And no need for alcohol!! Bawahahahahaha!!! My final DQ response was golden!!
Haven't noticed you ramble yet, but now I will be looking!
