Hi everyone! Is anyone else in the process of applying to Grady Memorial’s RN residency program that’s set to start this August?
I may be impatient (?!) but I applied a little over a week ago and have yet to hear back.
Has anyone heard anything back? Or for anyone who went through the process for Winter 2020, how long did it take you to hear back?

OK dish LOL. Did you like the residency? What about your Co workers, were they supportive? How are y'all coping right now?

Hi! Thank you for stopping by the forum! My only question for right now is: Did you know of many people who *didn't* receive offers? If people didn't get receive an offer for the dept they interviewed for, did they receive one for a different unit?
Residency was pretty awesome. We had these rotations that were kinda like clinicals where we sort of shadow various areas in the hospital. It was very informative and helpful. We also meet up atleast once a month which is nice because our residency coordinator wants to ensure that things on the floor are going OK. I like my coworkers, but that factor depends on a couple of things. Make sure you are friendly, always say "hello" when you walk into a room, and just show that you are there to learn. IDK anyone who didn't get an offer.

What kind of unit did you do your residency on?

That is awesome! Although, I'm sad you stated all of this because now I'm feeling even more anxious (in an excited way!) about hearing back with good news haha.
Thank you for your response!

Thanks so much for sharing that with us. We really appreciate it

Hi! How is scheduling at Grady? I have 2 other offers, in which their facilities allow the employees to self-schedule. Does Grady offer the same? Also do you guys get student loan forgiveness and tuition assistance? Thank you!

You will get to self schedule, but not until you get off orientation. Also, you have to work every other weekend, which kind of stinks ? No student loan forgiveness, but you do get tuition assistance if you want to get back to school.

Does anyone know what to expect for the timeline of receiving offers from the interview day? Has anyone received offers?
