Grady RN Residency - Summer 2020

Published

Hi everyone! Is anyone else in the process of applying to Grady Memorial’s RN residency program that’s set to start this August?

I may be impatient (?!) but I applied a little over a week ago and have yet to hear back.

Has anyone heard anything back? Or for anyone who went through the process for Winter 2020, how long did it take you to hear back?

I received my offer for the NICU just now ? Congratulations everyone!

Does it come through the same person who oversees the nursing residency (we can't put names on this site, so I have to word it like that LOL)? Or did it come from the managers of the unit, themselves?

Edit: and CONGRATS! That is so exciting!

Does anyone know how long the residency program is? And how much is the raise after completion of the residency program?

Specializes in ICU, CCU.

Someone said the start pay is 24.86 after done with residency in a year it does up 8 dollars for specialty residents.

I believe the length of the residency program depends on which unit you work for. That’s how it is at other hospitals, at least.

I don’t know how true that is because I was offered more than 24.68, but maybe base pay is unit specific as well.

Has anyone else not received their "official" offer yet?? I had my zoom meeting on Monday where I accepted a verbal offer and was told I'd be getting a follow up email, but have't gotten one yet...

I wish I had even heard something back LOL. But I haven't heard anyone from MICU (who I'm waiting on) even state they received an official offer, yet.

It really seems like the hiring process moves sloooowwwwww.

EDIT: has any of your guys' application statuses changed? Mine still says "interviewing".

I received an offer from the MICU on Tuesday but I declined it.
