Grady RN Residency - Summer 2020

Published

Hi everyone! Is anyone else in the process of applying to Grady Memorial’s RN residency program that’s set to start this August?

I may be impatient (?!) but I applied a little over a week ago and have yet to hear back.

Has anyone heard anything back? Or for anyone who went through the process for Winter 2020, how long did it take you to hear back?

I received an offer from the MICU on Tuesday but I declined it.

Ah OK, thank you for responding!!

I believe the length of the residency program depends on which unit you work for. That’s how it is at other hospitals, at least.

I don’t know how true that is because I was offered more than 24.68, but maybe base pay is unit specific as well.

I believe they emailed all new hires with an increase in base pay. I'm just wondering if the increase will be the same of up to $8 after residency!

First time poster to this thread! I too have been dragged on this Grady saga.

I got an email with an offer on Tuesday. I accepted it, but I got no confirmation from the recruiter of receipt. She probably got it, but I'm paranoid.

Has anyone actually gotten the official letter from HR yet?

When the recruiter emailed me about wage change she also said "Offer letters will be sent out by the end of next week if you have accepted your offer."

Congratsss to everyone !

I received an email to schedule the 15 minute feedback interview and I'm really nervous. Mine is scheduled for tomorrow.

Has anyone that scheduled their 15 min feedback interview had theirs yet ? If so, what was it like ?

IDK why I'm so nervous ughh.

Does anyone know how long the residency program is? And how much is the raise after completion of the residency program?

They increased the base pay to $27. At least that’s what an email stated to me. IDK if that increase will still be a thing now that they’ve increased base pay.

So its a possibility that we won't get a specialty pay?

That maybe a possibility We could or couldn’t, but I don’t have a clue. I hope so!

Ughhhh my 15min video chat is tomorrow and I would hate to have to ask her that ?

Did everyone have to set up a 15 min interview? Because they just offered me the position , never mentioned another interview ?

So I was just offered a med surg spot. Cardiac telemetry floor. I'm not sure how I feel about it though. It is still a Grady experience but...I just don't know.
