You have waited a year ?? I would recommend a review course like Hurst.. Do it from cover to cover and them schedule the test and stick with that date. Pass or fail, you can retake the test again and it is not the end of the world..
I wish you lots of luck

what are you using to get those scores....my friend 's highest score she got on some of kaplan was 58% she passed with 75 questions.....whatever the material, read the rationals that way you will know why you missed a question...sometimes i do even 20 questions a day..as long as i understand the information...i feel i am retaining more like that

Scores are just numbers, and NCLEX are not even scored. It's either pass/fail. I suggest to know your weak areas, and review those again with a good content review book of your choice, just one, and stick to it (I used saunders and it was great!), answer lots of practice questions, and also try to learn test-taking strategies. And yes I must agree with diana2520, whatever your score is, # of items you have answered, the main point is you have studied the rationales well, and you understand them fully. Good luck! You can do this!

effective studying is when you are fullypower up...without it its useless...asked your self why i keep choosing the incorrect option?read that topic and try to remember it by heart.program answering question where you are outmost awake and without any disturbances..read the question well....then find what the topic of the question..from that try elimination....narrow your choices to 2..... and choose the one that you think is most benificial to the patient.a simple strategic way can improved your score ..and make it a habit.....do your qbanks daily same time.....and in a good mood..if you get it wrong..dont beat up your self..and study that weakness....to improve it....

thank you all guys , your reply inspires me alot, i am using kaplan and i'm scoring 50-59% , mary ann hogan i'm scoring 50-58%.. Maybe i'm too pressured to get that 60% score. I noticed i'm always low at physiological integrity and and health promotion and maintenance...and aside from that yes..i am stressed because of other problems....i'll take your advice...and i'll let you know if i improved...thank you all..:)

Have you been studying and this will be your first attempt? Or are you saying you have been attempting for one year to pass. Don't get caught up in your scores, as long as you read the rationale for EVERY question.
this is my second try that's why i'm so worried, I got discourage when I failed the first time, It took me 240 questions, I guess i'm chasing the 65% above score and I ended up procrastinating for a year, now I dont have a choice because my att will expire so I have to take the exam..I want a consistent 60's score, there were times I score high there were times I score low, but i know its normal.. I am scared to fail again, but you guys were right..I could always retake, and If it's not yet for me I'll respect that..I think GOd has perfect time.
Visualize success... stop focusing on failing, focus on PASSING :)!

53-58 on Review questions? I heard from the Review Center lady I took.. If you're doing 50s, you are doing ok.. If you are doing 60s, you are doing good. If 70s up, you are doing great. Before, I would score 50-60s.. With much much much practice, I increased my score to 60-70s. I recently passed my NCLEX the first time with 75 questions..
All I can suggest is just keep doing questions.. One day, it will click to you. What books/cds are you using by the way?
