OK, maybe I'm a geek, but I LOVE nursing school!! (Mind you, I'm just finished week 3)

I love going every day. I love all of my classes (well, I could handle not having communications!!).

I love reading nursing arts and A + P. I even love my proffesional growth class. I love getting my scrubs on and going into the nursing lab.

Ok, so who wants to join me?? :balloons:

I love it too!! I am really enjoying it so far...I think I'm in week four, they are all starting to blend together. I had my first exam today and I didn't get an A, but that's okay. I look forward to going as well, despite the early mornings.

Life is good...

I'm loving it too. Its not as stressful as I thought, maybe because its my future in my hands and its all freakin' interesting! Grade wise I am doing great A's on the quiz's. First exam grade 88 but there were 2 shady questions that should return me 4 points putting me at an A. I'm in week 5 and had my first clinical this week. That was awesome too! This is something that comes naturally to me so its a sort of a breeze. A ton of busy work, and hard work don't be me wrong.

Over all I am thrilled to be a nursing student.

I'll join in, even tho I'm not the most... enthused currently. I'm a Junior, like learning all the new stuff, but it tends to be overwhelming at times, with the sheer amount of info. I'm g oing into my 6th week, and changing rotations from Peds to M/S.

Well, I LIKE it. I wouldn't say love just because of the stress/anxiety that I still have about everything, like starting clinicals next week. But I am enjoying it overall. The work is do-able so far, although it does seem like I never even THINK about anything but nursing. The lectures and even my readings right now are pretty interesting. Overall I'm happy but love is still a strong word. I'm happy for those of you who do love it!

The only thing I don't like is the early mornings. I'm going into nursing so I can work nights, and I don't understand why anyone should have to be awake before 10 in the morning - that's really early for me, and we have class at 0730, clinicals at 0630. Aside from that though, I'm in 2nd semester - 1st of clinicals - and I love it so far. Classes are a ton of work and studying, but I seem to understand everything so far. I've only been to clinical twice, but my nurses were both nice and so were the patients. I've dealt with blood, chest tubes, urine, and needles so far (although I couldn't use the needle, we hadn't been checked off on accuchecks yet), and haven't been grossed out. Our instructors want us to learn and welcome questions, and the one who seems really hard still wants us to pass and have a good learning experience. I'm working harder than I ever have before - and I graduated from a fairly prestigious university - and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm in my first semester and I'm loving it, too. We are incredibly busy, but I like the instructors, my classmates, the upperclassmen... Everybody has been very good to be around. I even like the research and the reading, and I'm finding that I'm learning so much.

I know this will probably change in my last year, but right now I'm very happy to be where I am!

Are you guys smokin' dope? ;) ;) J/K

Honestly, thanks for this post. It is nice to revisit those feeling of love. I used to love nursing school--soon I shall love graduating from nursing school. Have a great semester everyone! :)

I love school too. I love my new friends! They are all so great! I don't think it is quite as hard as everyone made it out to be. I've been really busy-- after A&P summer school, 2 years in a row was way worse than what we are doing now.

I have read so many negative things about nursing school, and this post is such a breath of fresh air! It is so encouraging! Thank you for posting this.

I love it. I call my mom or brothers (or anyone who will listen) every day after class to tell them how exciting school is.

Pre-reqs are out of the way and even though there is a ton of reading, all five of my classes are related to each other. That seems to make retaining the info easier for me.

Clinicals start on Tuesday and I am so nervous!!! By luck of the draw, I got an excellent LTC for my first rotation (so I have been told). I hope everyone shares their experiences about clinical sites.

I love to hate nursing school at this point. I absolutly loved it my first two semesters, but now that I'm one and a half semester away from graduation, I just want school to be over and done with.

I'm just sick of the tests, studying for tests, and being treated like crap by clinical nurses for being a student. There are soooooo many things about nursing I love, I just want to get out there and start doing it for real. :) I know I have lots to learn still though, so I'm going to make the most of it!
