I'm starting nursing school in August. I bought the "ultimate nursing bag" which is a great little back except that it only has one strap. I know the future holds several sore neck muscles and shoulders. And most bags that go on your back with two straps aren't big enough to hold everything that we need to. I'm considering the.......

Any thoughts?

You will look silly. You will be the joke of your classmates.
But you will also be able to walk with reasonable comfort after 4 semesters of dragging those god awful books around.
Personally, i just get there anally early and park close. my rolling backpack is a dodge durango.

You're going to school to gain knowledge not to promote fashion. Go with the rolling bag you will not regret it. There are very few people in my NS that DON"T have them and they wish they did. I don't always use it, though. I do use just a normal backpack if I only have one class or if the book load it light.

I use a rolling briefcase-looking thing. The backpacks weren't nearly big enough to carry what I need. Actually, I could still use more room.

Ok really nursing school isn't high school, we all are adults and I am certain that you aren't going to get made fun of. Go for the rolling backpack and I am sure that you won't regret it.

I don't like carrying things when I don't have to. So if I'm going to look like a geek, I went all the way and got a Zuca rolling bag. It's got a metal frame I can sit on, and huge wheels that light up as they spin. For what I paid for it, it should last the whole course.
the WHEELS LIGHT UP???

I got the CalPak Elevator rolling backpack from Shoebuy and I LOVE IT!!! It's very roomy, sturdy wheels and an adjustable handle. Only cost me $40 including shipping.
Seriously, no one will care. They will either have one themselves or will be wishing they were as smart as you!

Our bookstore sells the rolling tote bags, that have a mesh pocket in front, and come in bright green, bright pink, blue and black. EVERYONE at the nursing fair during orientation bought one, and i'v had mine for a year, i needed it for micro, since we had quite alot of stuff to carry, and pretty much everyone in that class had one too, but I wouldnt care if i was the only one, its worth it, my back hurts enough already at night. AND ONE WITH LIGHT UP WHEELS??? HOLY COW!! I want one!

You won't look stupid and you won't be the joke of your classmates, you're going to nursing school, not junior high.
I wish I had gotten one in school, as A LOT of my classmates had them.

I'm going to slightly disagree with everyone else's response. Only to recommend waiting until you actually start classes and see how many books you'll really be carring around. Personally, I only carry a small tote with my notebook and pens/highlighters, and occasionally a lab manual. Other than that, I never take text books to lecture class... its just not necessary in most cases.
Either way, good luck and congrats! :)
Lecture class would have been useless without my books ...... we had to have our books in front of us to follow along with the lecture. All classes are different though, so definitely wait and see how it's going to be.
