University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) New Grad Residency August 2024 Cohort

Hello all 👋🏼

I wanted to start a forum for those who applied to the UCSD New Grad programs for this Fall 2024;

a lot of the positions my classmates and I applied to state "others more competitive" with only some saying "referred to hiring department". Has anyone else out of state or in state received any interviews? :)

I applied to La Jolla ED and PCU.  My app said others more competitive for PCU on 4/5/24 and I just got an email today about being referred to hiring department for ED! Very exciting. But I believe they only have 2 spots available for ED

I also got an email saying my app was referred to the ED hiring department but my surgical ICU app said others more competitive.

Hi, is the new grad application period closed? I was trying to find an application for NICU but it seems like there isn't anything open?

Yes, there application is only open for a short time. https://health.ucsd.edu/for-health-care-professionals/nursing/nurse-residency-program/ 

 

The August 2024 cohort application already closed, so look out for the November 2024 application approx. 5-6 months in advance. It is only open for like a week or two for each cohort I believe.

anyone know when interviews are taking place or has anyone heard back regarding scheduling an interview?

Some units have already interviewed while others have not scheduled them yet. It seems all units are moving at their own pace! Keep the hope! :)

Has anyone gotten a call or interview from La Jolla ED? I got an email saying my application was referred to management but have not heard anything in two weeks 😕
