Has no one bothered to read their Glassdoor reviews? Bullying, hatefulness, unethical, etc. It strikes me as odd that we still look to the ANA to guide our "code of ethics" as professional nurses, when they can't even abide by the same virtues that they speak about.

Not a fan of the ANA here. It is a bureaucratic leech living off your dues and providing very little real world application (does provide nurses who have accumulated tons of education and abbreviations jobs away from nursing though!) . A lot of people sitting in a office soliciting you for money and sending out repetitive news letters. Overall the real problem with nursing as profession in the US is it has very weak political power and representation. It is competing with hospital lobbyist and corporate interest at federal and state levels.

The ANA is worthless to actual nursing...don't give them money.

Well said. I'd also add that based upon a recent audit that was made public, the ANA isn't cozied up tight to anyone but those you mentioned. Membership seems to be around 75,000....quantified, possibly less than 2% of nurses!

I don't care for the ANA because of their BLATANT, VOCIFEROUS, left-wing political bias. Will never be a member.
