nursing magazine info please

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am a first year nursing student and I am interested in subscibing to some kind of nursing magazine. I thought maybe some of you might know of some good ones to try or bad ones to avoid.

Thanks!

I like AJN and Nursing2005. I am a 2nd semester student and discovered that the nursing office on campus gets all the nursing magazines and allows us to read them at our leisure. Check and see if your nursing office offers the same, this way you can look over them and decide which one you like best....

Nursing 2005 is good for starters. "RN" magazine, I think, is a little bit better.

Here is one that really will stimulate your thinking:

i think nursing 2005 is the better of the 3.......(RN, AJN, and Nursing 2005)

I get all of the above. I like Revolution a LOT. They all present information and keep me current. I am a magazing addict, I guess. I can't get enough reading.

does anyone get the "Incredibly Easy" one put out by Nursing? I bet that is a good one for new and about-to-be nurses.

I had subscribed to the Incredibly Easy magazine for our education and thought it was very helpful info- especially for nursing students. They even have a bunch of resource books on procedures etc that are great.

I like Nursing 2005 the best. I didn't care much for Nursing Made Incredibly Easy.

I feel really dumb. I hear so many people say how they love the Incredibly Easy.. series, but for some reason, I just don't find them that 'easy'! I started reading the one on Fluids and Electrolytes, but it just confused me more. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for learning at the time. I seem to be in a small minority when it comes to this series. Maybe I'll take another look.

I subscribe to Nursing 2005, but I don't really have much time to read them through anymore. They are pretty current though.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I have read a copy of RN and RN 2005. They seem pretty good. I would like to find out where to get the Incredibly Easy at. Do bookstores carry stuff like this or is there a web site to visit.

I like "Incredibly Easy" also. That was the first one I subbed to. When I was accepted to my current program, we were required to sub to "RN". I also subbed to "Nursing2005" for good measure.

I just wish I had a way, or knew of a site, that cataloged different articles on different subjects. I'd hate to KNOW I read an article about shunts (like in a current issue), and then not know which mag or issue to find it in.
