Is there such a thing as Engraving Stethoscope tubing

I am not interested in colored printing on tubing, I want actual engravement into the tubing. Any ideas? I've seen it, but can't find it online.

HELP!

These folks seem to do it... I didn't look too deeply into it to see if you can only do it as part of a purchase of a stethoscope, though.

Thanks but All Heart people are deceptive. They just print. For the record engravement requires digging out a part of the object. Printing is adding something to it. Thanks!

Any jewelry shop that does engraving can engrave the metal portions of a stethoscope. Years ago, I got a stethoscope engraved at a "Things Remembered" store. I don't have any idea who might do "engraving" of the soft tubing.

The stethoscopes' tubing is made from plastic. Engraving will decrease its strength and cause premature wearing. Littmann's are especially prone to it, for some reason.

In addition, you are going to clean tubing from time to time to desinfect it, and engravings will make this more difficult.

From the experience of generations of interns, residents and now nurses, only one reliable kind of personalization which does not interfere with stethoscope function are these small metal labels built in between "ears". Everything else (head engravings, "ears" engravings, cloth coverings, etc., etc) either ruins quality of better professional models, or serves as excellent bug transmission tool, or both.

I've seen tubing engraved littmans, but most engrave on the bell

All heart has a nice imprint of my name at the Yoke

... It may not be technically "engraving", but is most durable

I have a Littman with my name engraved on television bell.

I got mine from allheart. I came just as ordered with no deception. It is colored printing but when the color wears off you can still see the imprint as it is slightly embedded into the tubing. I have had mine now for 5 years and its holding up just fine.

I've always found that rubbery tubing eventually degrades & stiffens after some time. I guess the engraving cost is minimal over time.
