This could be fun what are some of the funniest names you have heard out at triage?

I had a teenage mom that came in I asked what the newborns name was, she smiled and state "Sparkles". I kept a straight face and thought to myself what a loving mother to give her daughter a stripper name.

I have of Shithead Pronounced shathead, Asshole prounounced assouly

Lovie Butt

what are some good ones you have heard

Ok, in the same vein but a little off--- here're some names of diseases that are mistakes, and I like the wrong names much better than the real ones...

In Spite of Mighty Jesus (spinal menigitis)

Sick as Hell Anemia (sickle cell anemia)

And my personal favorite...

Phenobarbecue (phenobarbitol)

After caring for a few patients with sickle cell, I have to think that "Sick as Hell" is right on!

my dad sees a Chiropractor named Dr. Longenecker - dad says he's the best

I have a good one. My sister's name is Heaven Leigh named by my grandma who had just read the book by V.C.Andrews, and told my mom if she (grandma) could have another one #11 that is what she would name her. So mom named her 7th that.

Then there are my 3 girls, (this was noticed after 3rd was about 2 months old) Victoria Gay, Gabrielle Alexis, and Ashleigh Madison.

We call Gabrielle= Gabby and it definatly fits, so well in fact that I threatened to name Ashleigh= Quiet to see if it worked as well. I guess if I have another girl it will have to have a name that starts with M:)

OK – time for me to air my family laundry.

My grandmother’s name was Johnnie Gay. (She married a Walker, which of course made her Johnnie Walker – and to further the irony, she was a teetotaler!) She had six siblings – one was Olive Maxine (bad enough – we called her Aunt Dean), one was Billie Daphine, and another girl was named Edna Earl (which actually sounds good together, but oh, the poor child!). Mercifully the only boy was named Robert Henley. The rest had fairly normal names. Aunt Dean, Aunt Edna (I called her Auntie), Granma, and Aunt Billie (who was a RIP and could keep you in stitches and knew more dirty jokes than a sailor) were all born in that order. Someone wanted boys…. :specs: Robert Henley - my beloved Uncle Bobby - was born after Aunt Billie, and the girls after him (two did not make it) had normal names. Guess the boy worries were then safely out of the way. (The oldest was a girl and was named Millicent Caroline, which suited her. Everyone called her Sister, of course - so we called her Aunt Sister.)

My grandfather (who was born in 1907) had an aunt named Willard. She had a half sister named Jane who named two of her sons Adolf and Berlin. No idea why; they were born in the late twenties. Can’t imagine what their lives were like by 1939….

My father’s sister is named – are you ready for this? – Elmina Yergey. :roll

I work with local doc named Dr. Dedman. (Pronounced Deadman)! If I didn't know him so well as a good physician, I sure wouldn't pick him out of a phone book!!

There is a street in town that is named after his dad (also a doctor) and at the end of the street is a man named Richard Butt. We all know the nickname for Richard!!

He is in his 70's now!!

Specializes in Medical, Paeds, Ob gyn, NICU.

I thought that I was being game when I named my eldest daughter Monika, not the traditional Monica :chuckle

When I was in the hospital having her, there was a lady who named her daughter 'Christies Beach' and they lived in a suburb of Adelaide named.......You guessed it 'Christies Beach', I guess the child always knew her address

Tina (named after Tina Turner and proud of it:coollook: )

Merrily we signed all the paperwork and it wasn't until days later that I realized what I had done. You see my middle name is Raine, making her Haley Raine. I guess it's better than Sleety Snow.

So cute!! I got the honor of naming my little sister, so I named her Seraine Lisabeth. Pronounced Sa-rain Lissa-beth. Not Elizabeth as some people try to say. We call her Raine (rainy) for short. I have very rarely seen the name Raine, so I had to comment on it. Good choice!

My two little brothers are named Shade Walker (a great-great-great-great-great-grandpa was full blooded Cherokee, named Shadewalker, we adapted it) and Xavier Sage Monroe (Yes, 2 middle names, we call him Sage).

Me? I got plain Jaime. My mom wanted to name me Sunshine November, but dad put his foot down. At least it's spelled slightly uniquely.

ok heres a good one. it is a family name from one of the local indian tribes...big family too! Thought they were playing with me when I first saw it...last name of...EveryBodyTalksAbout...spelled just that way caps and all!

Well if Dr Dedman lives up to his name and you feel the need to sue, we have a lawyer who's last name is Duh. Another one I wouldn't pick out of the phone book! Maybe it's not pronounced like it sounds.
