This could be fun what are some of the funniest names you have heard out at triage?
I had a teenage mom that came in I asked what the newborns name was, she smiled and state "Sparkles". I kept a straight face and thought to myself what a loving mother to give her daughter a stripper name.
I have of Shithead Pronounced shathead, Asshole prounounced assouly
Lovie Butt
what are some good ones you have heard
Are we sure that there are children out there with Shithead and Asshole as names? I tend to think that those are jsut urban legends anymore.:stone
Yeah, of course. They live next door to and go to school with little Orangello and Lemonjello (you know...the twins). At least that's what my mother's, friend's, cousin's, sister's, girlfriend said. And she would know...she is their teacher in Chicago. Or was it Los Angeles? Hmmm...:)
My daughter is named Kali Ellyeme ( L-E-yum). I originally wanted to name her Callie which means beautiful so I just changed the spelling a little thinking it wouldn't change the meaning. Boy was I wrong...About two weeks after I brought her home from the hospital one of my friends informed me that the India Goddess of Death and Destruction is named Kali. At least she doesn't measure up to that part. Ellyeme is a made up name that has no meaning but sounds good with her name.
Had a pt the other day, man in his 70s. His first name was a single letter. Not a word, it wasn't short for anything. His medical records showed his name as a letter. Middle name too. Just a letter.
(I really dont want to say what letter, since saying a pt's name, a very unique name, could identify him, ya know?)
Where I work we have a patient named Los. That is his first name and last name. Kind of like Cher.
Also, years ago, I worked with a girl named Summer Rain Fall. Her last name really was Fall. She told me her parents were flower children. I think it is kind of pretty but she got teased a lot about it.

How about the imagination needed to name your identical twins 'Diamonesha' & 'Diamonasia"?
It wouldn't be so bad for some of the kids if the parents would just spell the name correctly...try to be different and the kid ends up with a name pronounced something like 'Doorknob'!
