Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?
For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:
I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.
So what do you all want to buy?
i think the very first thing i plan on buying once i become a nurse is my very first *badass* outfit (regular price) from bebe. i have never been able to afford their clothing. (even the clothes on the clearance rack ) only being able to shop at the clearance racks in stores can be depressing at times...but oh well. it will be worth it at the end!
"a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet."I just googled Nars blushes, I had never heard of them before. After seeing the names of them, I COMPLETELY understand why you would want them!:chuckle
LOL@ the names that I cannot list here. I want to buy "O," "DT," Taos, Exhibit A, Albatross, Taj Majal, and Zen. The famous "O" color was so very, very pretty when I tried it on. "Super O" looks tacky and too glittery, though, IMHO. At least it was when I tried it on in Sephora. Damn that Sephora for coming to my town!
What can I say? These NARS blushes really do give a pretty "glow" unlike many blushes that look just like um...like you put blush on.
I did pick up a Stila palette on ebay super cheap that is just as nice as Taos, though. Maybe that'll hold me for my expensive cosmetics until I graduate and get a job!
I am like some of the earlier posters I would like to be able to pay my bills and not have to tell my kids that the things they wanted would have to wait. Then I would love to take an Alaskan Cruise... (always wanted to go after finishing medic school but not happening on a medic salary.) I just received my RN on Dec. 31 2008 and I am starting my new job tomorrow.. so we will see how it goes... keeping my fingers crossed... and no dino's.. the kids are scared of them.. :)
