Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?
For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:
I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.
So what do you all want to buy?
I would love to be able to pay my bills and just relieve some of this stress, I am so tired of being broke, counting the days till graduation June 09, I will be happy with a manicure, pedicure, and a good haircut, and oh yes, some new clothes, not scrubs, real clothes, oh that sounds so good.
I agree... I am so tired of being tired, being broke, and only seeing my kids to tell them to hurry up and get dressed in the morning, hurry up and finish homework, hurry up and finish their dinner, hurry up and get ready for bed... Every so often I look at them and can't even believe they're so big... And my poor, neglected husband... I want to have time for him! *wink*
I want a house with at least 3 br so my kids don't have to share, I agree with the mani-pedis and haircut.. And clothes.. Lots of cute clothes... And a personal trainer.. I want a Nissan Acura, so sick of the minivan.. Ahhhhh.. I'm daring to dream....
i still have 4 years to go but i would take a very, very, much, needed, really needed, want it so badly, vacation , oh and ..... :onbch:
skydiving!(my life is boring need to do something exhilerating!!yay)
not to mention i wouldn't mind if i was married either:kiss (well this one might have to wait)...well anyways this is just a few...
:yeah:here are the things that i would promptly buy, a neat, beautifully designed cloth which I will use as a scrub suit, my own bp apparatus that i will use when I'm on duty, since our hospital facilities here in the Philippines lack this necessary equipments, and most of all pepper spray so,that when something happens on the way home i can protect myself somehow.
A Nissan Micra (currently driving a $500 rustbucket which stalls constantly and has terrible brakes.. )
A house to call my own...and of course furniture and paint, and curtains, etc
I will probably spend a lot of money going out places...I love going to museums, national parks, aquariums...maybe I will even save for a holiday somewhere.

Ok, I can cross the NARS blush off my list. I got something better off ebay super cheap.
Now I'm down to a Dyson plus my new desire - martial arts lessons. I want to learn Karate or Taekwando. I don't know enough about the different types of martial arts yet to say. I can't wait!
