What do I need to expect when I get into any nursing program?

I was just wondering if you could get into jeffstate's RN program and still go to work at same time? Or would it be easier for me to go and work as a Patient Care tech at UAB and get into there nursing program since they pay. P.S. After spring of 2009, I WILL have to pay for my education. And plus I've already thought about transfering to UAB anyways since I've planned that before and have already taken courses that apply to their program (I've taken ENG 101, 102, 261). So would it be better in the long run to do so? Can you work while taking UAB's BSN program as well? Thanks for advice:clown:

hi everyone! i just changed my major over to nursing this past february or march, and i think i might like being one. however, i am kinda curious of everything i need to know and what is expected of a nurse and a student. (i wont enter a program until i transfer to uab in 2009 or '10). could someone give me an idea of a typical day of what its like to be a nurse? there are quite a few nurses at my church, but i don't ever have the time to ask questions, plus i usually don't remember anyways! everyone i know (except my mother) thinks its a good idea and that i'd be a great nurse! i'm a first generation college student in my family (started in '07! and don't regret it at all). but any, or a whole lot of advice or just anything will be greatly appreciated!!!! thanks:d:wink2::)
