For Fun--Kudos 2 Me...The "toot your own horn" thread

Nursing Students General Students

Hi, anyone want to brag a bit? After all, I think we deserve it.

I thought it would be fun to share some of our victories and things we think we should be patted on the back for.

Here's mine....I passed my first skills test this week and got a 100 on our first quiz in Fundamentals which I am soooo proud of because, as everyone knows, nursing tests are different than any other tests, you have to learn to think differently. You have to learn to think like a nurse, and WOOHOO, I DID IT!

My instructor has been using my Patient Data Records (20-25 pages in length and full of everything about your patient) which I have received 20/20's on as examples to the other students and instructors of how they should be done. I also made a 100% on my dosage calculations test, 100% on high alert medication test, and a 98% on my mid-term clinical exam. I passed my IV returns two hours after we were first taught how to do them. :D

Specializes in Pediatric Hem/Onc.

I have one exam and a final (my average is an 89 woot so I'm not sweating it), 120 hours with a preceptor, and an exit HESI standing between me and graduation :) My last clinical is tomorrow! I am so......flipping....excited. 5 more days of class and I get a week break. I'm almost as excited about that part :D

January 27th is the big day. It's almost over. :yeah: I've started applying to job postings but even that isn't stressing me out.....yet. Baby steps!

I got a 988 on my Fundamentals HESI which converts to a 91.45% :)

Specializes in Psych.

I am in my 3rd term of NS (one regular term and one summer term done, one regular term in progress) and I still have my 4.0 :) And right now I have a 95% exam average in Med/Surg 1. WOOHOO!

I got a 100 on my second med math test :D

Specializes in Cardiology.

Got a hundred on my midterm. Woohoo!

Specializes in IMCU.

I smoked my mental health exam -- 100%.

Specializes in Psychiatric, Med-Surg, Operating Room.

I haven't posted in this thread in a while but here's mine

*I was one of 10 who received a $10k scholarship

*I passed the clinical portion of my Nursing fundamentals course, now all that's left is the lecture portion

Got a 97.5% on my Fundamentals midterm and an awesome midterm clinical review!

Thanks OP for this thread. It's so hard to share with classmates when I know that this exam probably resulted in some drops. So hard to share with non-nursing school friends because they don't always get it. So hard to share with my husband who is always sure I'm going to do great.

I got a 92 on the test we took on Monday! Originally it was a 90, but they made the key wrong, so I didn't get credit for a question that I had gotten right, but they fixed it. That's my second highest grade on a test this semester!

You are so welcome. Unfortunately I had to withdraw from ns this sememster d/t financial reasons, but I still like to check this thread for the simple reason that it makes me smile. I love reading all the "yaaaayy for me moments." Hopefully, next year I will be in a position to reapply and once again contribute to this thread! Keep em' coming, it really makes my day!:D

Specializes in IMCU.
